It's a great film. Far better than the US remake, but that's hardly unusual.

The remake was ok. Had it not been a remake I think it would have gotten more credit. It suffers by comparison tho.

chris lee as drac is a go-to... he exuded evil and coldness, but all those movies were a bit hammery

he looked a bit of a lemon in that but wasn't wearing it all the time. it was more the ennui he exuded at amplitude that made it work for me.

Read the book, oh, ten years ago. This thread is making me want to watch the movie, again. The soundtrack isn't too bad, either.

The new guy has the advantage of better effects, bigger budget, cast, director and so on. Curry creeped everyone out in a tv movie that had John Boy from the Waltons and Jack Tripper.
