"Big Love" on HBO

I watch with my wife and nudge her everytime there's an interesting moment where I can capitalize on the idea of polyamory. I can't wait till it returns, so I can start my campaign for at least a second wife.

You know, I can imagine quite a few people viewing that series and thinking as portrayed that there is a serious upside to aspects of the arrangement. I keep thinking 24 hours of being perfect every third day, I might be able to manage that with some real authenticity : laughs : Most other aspects would present as as Hell in a hand basket for me though. No wonder the Paxton character is hyperventilating in the car.

We're up to episode 6, they better get turf !

I keep thinking what a fucking mess that would be. I like the series though. I'm not sure I would if my husband were nudging me while watching.

Go for it!

Actually I meant keeping everyone happy. Rare is the man who can keep one woman happy.

We just got back from our trip. I am always thrilled we didn't have to deal with any other people!

People are trouble!

LOL.

I'd been pulling out my hair if I had to make everyone happy in that family. Oh, and I'd also probably kill Nicki and Bill!

Think I'll do the shower thing first otherwise the premise is a little manky : laughs :

I have to be quiet, I want the manchild to sleep in today, he was up rather late last night and the school terms starts in a few days.

Oh I knew what you meant, I was just being cheeky. The criminalization of their choices bothers me some. That's a simplistic view, just felt some real empathy for the characters in that regard. As to the actual potential logistics, gah, don't even want to go there.

As to Nicki, if she is his rock then I say Bill would do better to change his name to Prometheus.

This is true. Maybe Dominoc's idea of getting his wife to accept polyamory will result in her having two husbands!

I can't stand Nicky.

I can't stand that Bill 'cheated' on his wives with Barb.

Especially when he has that super fine piece of ass Margene just sitting around watching the kids all the damn time.

God I would tie that girl to a bed, naked, spread eagled, and forget the other wives.

Finally Season III

This Sunday, January 18th, season three begins.

Yay!!!

Only I don't get premium channels. So I'll have to wait a bit to see it.

*le sigh*

:rose:

Me, too.

I was incredibly lucky for the past four months because we had all premium channels free. I've watched many episodes of Big Love and all of True Blood. But, after 1/15, no more movie channels for us. I may have to consider picking up HBO...

How long does it usually take for a show like this to come out on DVD?

If you are lucky and it's popular I'd say 4-6 months after the end of the season? That's only a guess.

:rose:

I'm not fond of the surgical scenes. But, the character development has been amazing. This show just gets darker and darker for the main characters. They're teased with a glimpse of happiness and then it crashes again. I just can't stop watching...

Maybe someday, I'll get it on DVD and fast forward through the surgery, then see if I can stand it.

I've gotta figure out which of my friends has HBO and start getting a little bit cozier with them so I can take over their television and get my fix of Big Love, lol.

The new season starts on the 18th. Imagine my dismay when I turned on the TV Sunday night expecting it, and nothing was there.

I almost did that too. He is better at keeping track of dates and reminded me it was the 18th. 4 more days to wait ..........

Big Love is officially back, finally!!
A fourth to add to the drama. And the murder attempt with that bathroom scene was so unexpected. THAT was a great episode.
