I just wanted to quote some sad news that mark has posted in the UK thread for those of you who are outside of the UK and are unlikely to see it....

Morning folks, now before anyone faints cos I'm in so early I have to say its not for a pleasant reason, I am sad to report that the former threadmaster of the Directory who probably saved it from disappearing completely into Lit nothingness Big Salami has passed away this morning after an illness.
Now I know there have been fallings out between BS and some of us (myself included) this is not the time to dwell on such things but to offer our condolences to the family and friends he left behind and i am sure everyone will join with me on this matter.

RIP Big Salami.

I didn't know BS well...but we posted together a little at one point...I remember him as a dog lover and as one myself we had something in common. I always loved to hear him talk about Blaze...a truly beautiful dog...may BS forever enjoy endless walks with his beloved Blaze now they are reunited and at peace
