Biology, for the largest part (genetics, and perhaps some pre-natal factors). There are, obviously, some cultural and personal history influences, but if you ask those who identify themselves as exclusively gay -- women and men -- almost all will tell you that they "felt" their identifity almost from the start, often before pubety.

(shrugging) But it really doesn't matter, except to those who wish to be political about the subject. It's who you are now, and what you desire in the future that is important....

I believe in most cases its biological, just like being transgender is biological! But i'm not a scientist i could be if i wanted to be but i'm not so its just a belief on my part and until its proven one way or another its something none of us really know about!
