We all realize that new stories tend to get more views initially. I think we should consider how our stories hold up over time.

So, what I am curious about is how your oldest story is doing.

Take your very first story published here and share the date that it was published, the category, and the current views-per-day stat.

If there are mitigating factors that might influence that stat, such as the story being on a top list, having a red H, or being a contest winner, please include those details.

***********************************************************************************************************************************

My first story here was published in Novels/Novellas on 04/19/2014 (4,341 days ago) and as of today, it is still receiving 38.34 views per day. It was a monthly winner, has never lost its red H, currently rated at 4.83, and remains somewhere on the top list for its category.

It's funny because my actual first stories I've deleted them from the site. The oldest ones that I have are from 2021, and I'm not even really into them anymore as it's just me trying to find my footing in erotica.

Do Disturb, which I consider as the actual beginning, however, is from June 21st, 2023. 22.6K reads and 4.39 rating. It's fine, especially considering it's length.

I want to expand on some of my old work. I feel like there's gotta be more I can milk them for.

Interesting.

My first story was published on the 25th May 2020. It's the only story I ever published to Non-con, and I put it there because of some elements in the story (most of it is more manipulative, but there was one scene I felt trumped the others and which was definitely Non-con). The story has hovered around 3.85 but has recently seen a minor uptick to 3.9/87. A daily view count puts it at ~15 (27.3k views since publication).

For anyone interested it's called Branding Poppy, and I'm clear that the low-ish vote is due to two factors: a) not being very good, and b) not falling into what many of the readers want.

It's gotten about 200 views, 3 votes and 1 favorite in the last week. Still kicking after almost exactly a year.

When I published my first story, I had no idea how it would be received. It was well received in my opinion, though it never rose to the Red H level.

My next story, published two weeks later, apparently struck a chord with readers. It rapidly earned the Red H, and is still being Favorited today.

I'll play but I'll add that I'm using my first standalone story since my first submittal was part of a five-chapter story that was finished shortly after this.

Shannon's Offer is a humorous, over-the-top tale of yard work and an erotic bet, with Chris trying to do everything he can to win and Shannon, who offered the bet on the spur of the moment before thinking about it, doing everything she can in the front yard of their home to distract him to keep him from winning. It was published on November 21, 2019, has a score of 4.5* on 325 votes, 10 favorites, 12,971 views, and 14 mostly-favorable comments. It was posted in Humor & Satire (with its usually lower viewership) so I've been really pleased with it. I'm not sure how to find the current views per day; I haven't tracked it so it would be very low.

I don't keep stats to know what it's still getting per day, though it certainly tailed off after the dust from the contest settled (nude day 2024).

I don't see much engagement with this one anymore, though that's not to say it doesn't still get the occasional view. The last comment on it was from December 2025, if that says anything.

My first story was The Holiday Party, published on December 8, 2016. Here's where it stands today:

holiday party.jpg.png

It's one of my least favorite of all my stories, and one of the least popular. I wrote it in about one day, in time to enter it into the Winter Holiday competition that year. It was too rushed.

It gets an average of 2 views per day, which is well below my average for old stories. My story A Bikini With A Mind Of Its Own, published about three months after this story, has exactly the same score but gets around 75-90 views per day.

Hi, I'm Areala-chan. And I'm a dinosaur.

My first story posted here just turned, uh, twenty-three years old this past January. No red H, a couple hundred away from 63,000 views, and has a 4.38 rating after 213 votes. A views-per-day count on this one is pretty much impossible, not only because the story is so old as to skew any average (the math works out to ~13 views per day, which I know cannot be the case), and from a time when the site was nowhere near as active with published works as it is today. If I recall correctly, it was on the front page of the Lesbian Sex category for around five days, so it had quite a bit longer to rack up those early views than anything I've put up in the last five years.

It also didn't get a single comment until ten years later, so while a lot of people may have looked at it, it didn't seem to move anybody's needle. :)

My Fall and Rise Ch. 1

Published July 9, 2017, after being rejected for poor formatting the first time I submitted it.

It was the first chapter of a thirteen part series. It wobbled back and forth around 4.50 for a few years, gaining and losing its red H numerous times before settling in at or near a current score of 4.55.

Average daily views (not current, I have no idea how you could figure that) is 12.49

It was for the Halloween contest, so that probably helped views and maybe hurt scores. I later turned it into the first of a series, so that probably helped as people saw later episodes and went back to read the start.

I haven't tracked views per day, but I've taken a few snapshots.
  • On 4/28/25, it had 25945 views. This was a couple days after my first LW story and I was still reeling with amazement at what that category was like. (Sorry to make every thread about LW, but I wouldn't have this data point otherwise.)
  • On 1/21/26, it had 32077 views. This was a couple weeks before I published my first Valentine's Day contest story, which was also my first T/I story, and I knew this category was special too, and that story used characters from my first series, so I was curious if it would drive traffic back to that.
  • Today it has 32629 views. I guess it didn't.

For some reason my embedding a photo/image button has disappeared but here are the specks for my first story:

It was posted in April, 2008. Since then it has 61.3k views, a score of 4.59 (with 419 ratings), 39 likes, and 17 comments.

It’s called Bi Jewish Awakening Chapter 1. Sadly, I never wrote chapter 2. Maybe I’ll go back one day and continue the story.

It was a 750-word story, as the project was my impetus to finally create an account and start posting here.

It's also my most viewed, favorited, rated, and commented upon story, all by quite large margins. However, the actual rating doesn't even break my top 10, coming in at #12.

I check the current numbers on any recent submissions and my top ranked stories frequently, but I don't actually track the numbers.

Published over ten years ago 👴, has gotten a slight bump recently because I've posted 3 stories this year, but this was more of a femdom story, and my current series is Gay Male so less overlap in the audience probably.

I only have 5 stories, but the other ones almost all have more likes and comments.

IMG_9642.jpegMy first story has an interesting history. It started as Parent-Teacher Disciplining the Parent. Published 11/1/2022. When I wrote a second part, I decided to tweak the title and change category. As a result, the published date changed and both stories were published on the same day.

It got a big bump in views when that happened. I'll update with further stats when I get home to my spreadsheet.

Edit: Average 36 views/day.

My first was Mama's Beach House that I posted in Oct. '22. Its rated well and I would say its still gets a fair bit of traffic, though I no longer keep daily stats. It's my only story over 100K views, though there are a couple getting close. It's also my second highest on comments and people really seem to like it.
I think stories in this genre are popular and I think having Mama in the title gets hits from people using the tag search. It's certainly not my best story, but my heart was in it when I wrote it and I think that comes through. I wrote a WIWAW for it because it has an unusual genesis and I wanted people to know she was real.

Are the two in the same category?

My first one published here hasn't fared well. It was written by request, and near the end of my writing of cuckold stories, he never sent what was supposed to follow. I can only assume he wasn't pleased. It was actually written years before I put it up here. I put it in fetish. The second one hasn't all that many reads but has done better score-wise.

Other stories written in the same month have fared much better.
