I don't think it's that unusual that people are seeing BS's name in a light that he seems to not intend. I can see how people would easily derive the meaning as, "someone who slaps bitches." By the most common definitions, "bitch" has been a reference to females. It goes right along with phrases such as "wife beater", etc.

It's not really a matter of choice. It's a matter of impression. The name impressed an image in my mind the first time I saw it that can't be shaken, no matter how much he protests that it's untrue. I did later choose though to set it aside and treat him instead based on his posts and responses to others, but when it comes right down to it, both my first impression to his name and the impression that came later after seeing how he relates to others here, are pretty much the same.
