I'm not calling anyone a bitch, and certainly not you, so why are you getting so upset about it? If anything I would be calling myself a bitch, so it shouldn't offend you. I'd really enjoy hearing your explanation of how calling a man a bitch is misogynist, because I think it's you who doesn't know the meaning of the word.

(Source: Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary)

misogynist
noun
a man who hates women or believes that men are much better than women

I'm surprised you even knew how to spell it.

If you're not going to accept any explanation for something, then why bother asking in the first place? Are you just trolling?

Your explanation is stupid.
How hard can it be to figure out that using a derogatory term for women to refer to a man is misogynist? Its as if the worst thing you can say about a man is that hes like a woman. Even you ought to be able to figure that out.

Well first off it's not a GLBT topic and secondly the style of your post generally leads into the sort of three page flame wars that I'm not really into. :)

Thanks Etoile.

I mean Q.

Oh wait.

She asked me why I thought her question would be better fit for PM (IMO obviously), and I gave it. I was unaware that sharing one's thoughts on what fits into which forum was off-limits to anyone except moderators.

It wasn't as if I was ordering her , or even politely asking her to shut her trap and take her points elsewhere.

You are reading something into my name that's not even there. I can't decide if you're paranoid or just trolling. I've explained it twice just in this thread and several times elsewhere, but you continue to misinterpret it. Like I said, why ask for an explanation if you're not going to accept it?

Believe me, if I were a msogynist I would've come up with something a lot more imaginative.

Is english your first language? Because if you'll bother to look at my name and try to figure out what it actually means (which you have not done so far) you'll see that it is one word. It is not two words, it is not hyphenated, it just says Bitchslapper. It obviously refers to "bitchslapping."

I think it's quite clear you just wanted to pick a fight, nothing more.

I can not beleive you are still going on bout your name Bitch.

Get over it. If it bothers so many people are giving you shit then start a new account instead of whining about us harassing you.

Honestly your girl side is really unattractive

MzChrista is the one going on about it, not me (notice who started the thread).

I was over it before it started. Again, your beef should be with the person who started this and is continuing it, not me.

And I am certainly not going to cave under pressure simply because one person chooses to misinterpret my name.

I'm not whining about harassment. I haven't said anything about harassment here.

Oh, BTW, real friendly EL. I say Happy birthday and this is what I get? Thanks a lot.

Excellent point. I briefly considered pointing out that she was implying that only women can possess the qualities one identifies with bitchiness, but I decided that maybe she'd figure it out for herself.

I do not get over some things as easily as you. You called me a boar. When I get an apology instead of some half assed Happy Birthday from you I will be nice.

I would concluded you like to slap Bitch's.

Who said I get over things easily? I have to keep coming back to this thread to defend myself.

And I never called you a boar.

That's simply inane. The use of the term "bitch" as a perjorative directed exclusively at women is well established. It has been used as such for generations.

I accept that you do not interpret your name to mean that you "slap bitches". From your not very well articulated defense of it's use, I gather that you mean it in the sense of "one who slaps like a bitch".

If that is the case, it certainly doesn't negate any complaint that it is still rooted in terminology that many women will find offensive.

I don't think you should feel compelled to change your name. I do think, however, that you ought to reconcile yourself to the fact that it will cause some people to draw negative conclusions about you.

This is a few post back. You state you are over it. Contradicted yourself again.

I have the PM where you attacted me and called me a boar.

I didnt say I didnt accept it. I just said its stupid. Learn to deal.

By the way thats pretty funny that you said you were surprised I could spell misogynist, and then you misspelled it.

Thank you. Glad somebody gets it.

Any adults around to supervise the boys and girls so they play nice?

I don't have a problem with bitchslapper, any more than gaybasher or slutfucker or cuntpopper or nutcracker or prickstomper or imahoebitch. Whatever name you choose says something about you, and people can interpret it in different ways.

Suerilla told me to robhammer my boys when the get out of line.

You know why straight girls wear high heels and kiss? So they can lure guys in then stomp on their dicks.

I don't think I should be forced to change my name just because someone is insecure about themselves and feels the need to attack someone else because of it.

I have explained it several times in almost the same words you used.

Yes, it does negate it, because, as I have explained, if anything it refers to me as a bitch (a man) and does not refer to anyone else.

OK, you harass me and you refuse to accept my explanation, and then you tell ME "learn to deal"? That's fucking hilarious.

Oh, and that's a typo, not a misspelling. If you'd bother to actually read what I have to say, you'd see that I've spelled it correctly everywhere else.

Now see, the problem with this is it assumes the name is intended to be derogatory, which it is not. So it can't be logically compared to name like nutcracker and the like.

Does anyone besides me see the discrepency here? On the one hand MzChrista accuses me of being a misogynist, but on the other hand I have not said one word that is derogatory to women in any of my posts.

RobHammer is a BallBuster and thinks this whole discussion is rediculous. Stop taking offense when none was intended.

"It's just my dry wit and scathing sarcasm, two of my most treasured qualities."

Bitchslapper agrees with RobHammer and asks why we're suddenly talking about ourselves in the third person.

I think its definitely a GLBT topic why someone uses a misogynist name on a GLBT forum.

Interesting point. Assuming that his name IS misogynistic (I always did; perhaps incorrectly)... are "misogyny" and "GBLT" neccesarily antithetical?

Is it possible to be a misogynist homosexual or bisexual? Does "GBLT" automatically mean "likes everyone"?
