Black Hawk's Treasure

Ashley

She worked her way around another bundle and stopped short behind a group of men. Not knowing who they were, she quickly back tracked a few steps and ducked behind a barrel.

Sophie had more men than she thought, now what was she going to do?

She went back the way she came moments before, working her way up towards the town. She'd just have to steal a disguise..

sneaking from object to object, she hopped a short fence and eyed the clothing line. Taking down a few things, she quickly glanced around to make certain she wasn't spotted before creeping back to a stack of lumber on the dock.

She changed quickly, scooped up some mud and smeared it around as well. Tying off her hair, she tucked it under some guy's hat she stole and waited. The next few to walk by, she'd just melt into their group... It could work.

Her timing couldn't have been better, a group of men walked by, packing barrels on their shoulders and discussing what could only be herself.

"Hows we sposed' to know this Ashley? I aint never seen her before.. you charly?"

"Nope, can't say I have."

"Burt?"

"Nope."

"So why the captain tellin' us to hunt for her?" He shifted the barrel to his other shoulder slowing his pace a bit.

"maybe the captain thinks this Ashley will announce herself?"

The other two snickered a little.

"We's could just take whatever wenches come across the docks, that way we knows we got her.."

"Good idea Eric.. only i don't think she'd do that.." Burt laughed at his own comment. Behind them Ashley was smirking herself, they weren't too bright that was for certain.

"what about the constible? With all this fightin goin' on we'll be in trouble soon enough.."

"Nah, we don't have no constable.."

"Oh." They fell silent. She nearly bumped into them when they suddenly stopped, one calling out to his mates, "What's goin on?" The two in the boat merely gave a dark look and kept rowing around the water.
"Well they're a bit miffed.."

Ashley tensed a moment, seeing that they were standing right where those other men had been hiding away. Keeping her back to them, she did her best to hide her face.

Another man came out, this one looking fevered and in a hurry. After a moment, he caught sight of James and his men, calling out. The shout was short lived though, as a blade sliced his throat.
James shook his head, letting the body drop to the sea below, floating upside down now, red water seeping out under him.
"Sorry soldier. Just not time yet."
"What are our orders?"
"Stay here. I'm going to try and see if I can talk to Sophie. Maybe I can reason with her."
"How?"
James had already seen how. He just shook his head, moving forward, "Wait for my signal."
More questions were asked, but they hushed as he dodged between stacks of cargo, closer to the Mystique. A ship, fated it seems, to be on everyone's wish list.
The smooth curve of his blade still red and hot from its last kill, went around Ashley's neck with a surprising ease.
James grabbed her, holding her tight from behind to his body. He felt her struggle.
"Shhhh, just relax. This is sharp," He cut her arm, and the blood flood freely, "Don't move a muscle. I wouldn't want to hurt a hair on your body, unless you fuck up my plans. Now, be still and march forward."
The blade, her blood dripping from it with ease, stayed tight against her neck.
"SOPHIE!!!" He called out, emerging from the cargo forest, Ashley in front of him, taken hostage.
"I got her. She was sneaking around. I got her baby. She's ours. Ashley's ours..."
He called out to her, moving with a jagged walk up the plank towards the boat. It wasn't easy with Ashley in front of him. With her own movements, he wasn't even sure if she was helping or not. It didn't matter, this would be over in a few minutes.
"We did it, Sophie. We made it..."

Krysta wasn't sure what to do now, she basically had been caught. Sophie played this little trick on her once before,

"Damn, I hate that woman."

muttered to herself, looked around the semi darkened room, heard the men getting closer to where her room was. Peeked out the door slightly the men went into the room on the side, there were only three guys.

"What the hell we looking fer again?"

"Beats me, some female I think, the wench kept saying Ash. But no idea what this wench looks like. So just pretend your looking."

"Damn, all these women and they nothing but trouble."

All the men laughed, just then Krysta snuck out of the room and went in the other direction. The guys saw the back of her, but just shrugged it off thinking it was just another sailor on board.

It was like a hallway of sorts and the other side lead back to the top. Around the corner she heard some male call out to Sophie.
Frozen in place for a moment, making sure it was clear. Well clear considering the situation. Picking up some rope and throwing it over her shoulder, it was heavy and thick. Hiding the side of her face as she walked keeping her distance from Sophie.

Luckily Sophie was somewhat distracted, hopefully enough to keep off Krysta for a few more moments. Which was good because when she set the rope down the scarf got caught on the rope. Most her hair fell down as she tried in a furied rush to fix again.

Rodger Flint

Rodger and Sarah reached the dock safely and helped one another up onto it. A group of men, obviously searching for someone, passed by and the stowaway and the salvager ducked behind some crates.

The searchers mentioned the name "Ash." So Rodger presumed they were searching for his former captain. He knew that the girl he was with had some ties to Ash, but he wasn't sure how deep they ran. He turned to her.

"Right, we're safely ashore. But those men act like they're going to start pulling women off the street looking for the captain. I don't think they even know I exist though. So it's up to you, do you want me to tag along for awhile and muscle those fool away from you?"

It was pretty hard for Sarah to swim, much harder than she had thought it would be. Once they made it to shore she was out of breath and in pain.

"I.. I don't know... I don't wish to be caught... nor do I wish to be in the middle of something I do not know anything about... I can not fight like this.. And if they catch me, they'll be pulling and dragging me around like a rag doll. Neither one is good with this kind of pain."

Her words were quiet and almost numb like, trying to keep from crying out each word with pain. Sarah took Rodgers hand lightly, scared and pleading look ran into her eyes..

"I beg of you, don't leave me right now."

More and more she was begining to hate being around people, at least, she found someone that seems to waant to take care of her.

Ashley

Grabbed from behind, she barely had time to gasp before the blade was at her neck. Her whole body tensed as the man held her tightly.

"Shhhh, just relax. This is sharp," His words whispered in her ear caused her to gape a little more. She knew that voice!

"J-James?" She stammered in her confusion. How in the hell did he get here? And what was going on? His sword sliced over her arm, cutting but not too badly with no pressure behind his movement.

It stung, but not as badly as him sneaking up behind her and grabbing her like he did.

"What are you doing?!" She hissed at him, his arm tightened around her more as he pushed her out into the open.

"SOPHIE!!!" He called out loud enough to be heard over the rise of voices on the Mystique.

He pushed her along, she went more willing than she wanted to, but the blade was too damned close to her throat for her own liking.

"I got her. She was sneaking around. I got her baby. She's ours. Ashley's ours..." She tensed then about to make a move and break free of James's hold when the blade got even closer to her throat.

She glared now, her body shaking with supressed anger, her teeth clenched tightly. She'd get him for this....

"We did it, Sophie. We made it..." They stepped on deck and her stomach sank... Sophie had a twisted smile on her face, but that wasn't what bothered her.. What bothered her were the two brutish looking men holding Krysta and Sophie's gun aimed for Krysta's stomach.

She said nothing, just bit her tongue and did her best not to move much.

Sophie

That hair gave her away, she really should have cut it off when she was supposed to.

She moved stealthly and quickly up behind Krysta and pointed her loaded gun at the girl's head.

"I wouldn't do that if I was you.." Her voice dripped with icy cold promise of death behind the girl. "Nice and easy, don't make me shoot you Krysta.."

"DAVID! Wayne! grab her!" She stepped back, her gun still raised as two of her biggest men grabbed Krysta's arms.

"Subdue her.. strip those knives off as well." They obeyed her command, handing the knives over and turning around her wayward Neice.

"Nice.." She tossed the harness and knives overboard and eyed Krysta up and down with a sneer. "You were never a smart lass, never knew when to listen and not cause mischief.. Bind her up boys.."

"SOPHIE!!" She heard her name shouted from below and turned towards James's voice. "I got her. She was sneaking around. I got her baby. She's ours. Ashley's ours..."

Her eyes darkened a little with distrust but the pleasure was still there. James came through for her? For her, really? She wanted to laugh and jump for joy but maintained her dignity.

She turned back to her two men and hissed out her order again, "Bind her damn it!" Her eyes narrowed on Krysta a moment and then back towards James coming on board.

Putting two and two together, her eyes widened as she turned back to give Krysta a hard stare. "You... You betrayed me! DIDN'T YOU!?" Her fist came out, backhanding Krysta with all her strength. It gave her some satisfaction when Krysta's head snapped back hard and her mouth bled. Something sadistic in that, something sick, but she felt pleasure run through her as the blood dripped off of Krysta's lower lip.

"You will pay my dear.. but later.. for now we get rid of something more annoying than even you."

She motioned the men to move Krysta a little, "Keep her before me, incase I need to shoot that back stabbing bitch.."

"James! Baby...." She broke out in a sweet smile and waved him on board. "I see you brought me a gift... Hello Ashley." Her welcome did not sound all that warm, it wasn't meant to. Her eyes fell to Ash'e bleeding shoulder and smirked a little. "I am surprised to see you caught her James.. what is it you want?" She didn't think for one moment he wouldn't want something for his little 'catch'.

"You know what I want," James let the blade come up to her throat, slicing just a bit so she could feel the crimson drip down her chest.
"Give her to me, let me keep Ashley for myself, and I pledge everything into your name. Myself, and my army... Boys!"
The group of men stood up, an array of arms and weapons in their hands, cheering for their captain, and the war they were going to win.
"Looks like you've still got another army to beat," The Warhammer moved ever closer. In a few short minutes, they could start boarding, and attack. Shit was going to hit the fan for her very soon, and she was in a world of shit.
If only she knew.
If only James could tell her.
He let his lips come up to Ashley's ear, for a moment, he did start to whisper something, but in the end, just nibbled on her lobe.
"We're all in a world of shit, aren't we? Tell us what to do Captain Sophie..."

Krysta froze at the feel of the gun and Sophies' voice so close and behind. Her first thought was to grab a blade, the closest one possible. Until Sophie pressed the gun a bit more into Krystas' head, telling her to behave in so many ways.

"I didn't betray you? Just because she came back for her stupid ship doesn't mean I said anything?"

Krysta snapped back into an obvious lie, her voice full of anger.

The backhand slap caused Krysta to shut her mouth, tasting the hint of blood that started to form at her lip. Kept struggling at the the hands that held her, for some reason they were in no hurry to bind her. Didn't matter, after growing up with Sophie, she had learned how to get out of most binds. These brutes couldn't bind Krysta down like Sophie used to.

"I did not betray you......"

Hissing between clenched teeth as she forced back the scared feeling that rose so heavily in her gut. Felt like something was trying to claw it's way out. Sophie was the only person that she had ever lied to, and still lies to at this moment.

That's when she saw the man that had Ashely. Krysta tried to struggle again with in the mens grasp, even stomped hard on their feet, all they did was grip her tighter and harder. Forcing a cry to escape her lips. Krysta had to trust Ash on this one, then Ash had no reason to protect her. All Ash had to do was say that Krysta told her.....

Krysta couldn't stop fighting against them, finally one got tired of it and gripped her hair hard pulling on it to keep her from moving as the other did the binds.

Sophie

Her eyes narrowed dangerously as she whirled and shouted her orders, "SINK IT! SINK IT NOW!" She screamed loudly with her anger. How dare they let that ship get closer!?

Her gun still aimed at Krysta, her hand waivered a moment. She should point it at Ashley and fire, killing that troublesome bitch once and for all... And James..

"If I let you take her, what is to stop her from being a pain in my ass again James?" She called out, flinching a little as the first cannon fired, damn that was loud.

"You could kill her instead and sail with me James..." She counter offered. "I don't want this little pain in my ass returning James.... ever." another shot rang out, she was backed into a corner, she had to do something to get them out of there..

"Make ready to sail!" She called out. Krysta was subdued now, guarded as well.. Her gun swung towards Ashley, her smile returning. "I'm sure we can bargain James.."

"Captain!"

"What?!" Her attention again was shifting elsewhere.

"We can't move with the War Hammer in the way.."

"God damn it! I said sink the ship..."

"She's too close!"

"Fuck!" her gun lowered a moment, her options running out..

"Alright James! We got a deal.. But this one is mine.." She looked over at Krysta with a glare.

"MOVE! Arm yourselves...." She turned back to James, hating him for his weakness with Ashley, wishing she could put a bullet into the girl and be done with her forever. "Take no prisoners boys.. kill'em all. James?" She questioned him, waiting for him to fulfill his part of the bargain. Ashley began to struggle a little, this making Sophie smile.. If only he would let her go, She could easily kill Ash right here and now.

The men moved to take Krysta below decks when Sophie stepped into their path, "Leave her with me.. She'll make a good bargaining tool." She took Krysta by her tied hands and pulled Krysta along with her up to the helm. The cannon fire had stopped now, the men drawing swords and waiting as the War Hammer slid closer.

Her heart hammered loudly in her ears, her fear coming up quickly. This was not how things were supposed to go! This was not what was supposed to happen! How could they screw up and ignore the War Hammer's threat? How the fuck would she get her ship out of here now?! Her hand tightened on the gun, her temper rising with her fear, she hated being afraid..

"If Ashley was dead.. this wouldn't be happening! Damn her.. And Damn you for bringing her here!" Sophie fairly spat in Krysta's face with her words, wishing she could strangle the pair of them with her bare hands! She secured Krysta's roped hands to the helm and stepped back.
"This ship is mine Krysta... you know it! And.." She aimed the gun again at Krysta's middle, "It will stay mine! Don't fight me you little ungrateful brat or I will kill you.. You behave and we'll discuss your punishment later.." She wanted to rant further at Krysta but held her tongue, she had best focus on James and Ashley.

"Lock her up James and get your men on board!" She had to think of a way, they had to get out of here, but how?

Ashley

The trembling didn't stop, the betrayal didn't seem to stop either. She had to figure a way out of James's hands and to Krysta...

His words only made her heart sink further.. how could he think he could own her?! She wasn't some treasure to be held under lock and key!

She stiffened up, her worry over Krysta rising again as Sophie threatened Krysta right before her very eyes. She could barely swallow with the sword against her skin, but she had to do something to stop this?

As soon as Sophie was out of ear shot she closed her eyes and whispered, "James? Please don't do this..." She had to think, think of something she could offer him and halt all this madness.. She gave the map to Thomas, she wouldn't give her ship away.. The shouts of warning, she fairly fainted with relief.. Thomas was coming!
"She's going to kill my sister James.. Let me go, please.. I need to save Krysta." She tried her best to convince him, if only he'd answer her!

Krysta stopped struggling once inthe hands of Sophie.

"I did not bring her here... You know full well she would have come with or with out me.... It is NOT my fault I caught in the middle of this."

She wasn't showing her fear, keeping hidden the best she could. Heated words poured from her lips.

"I could careless whos damn ship this is. I wish it would sink to the bottom of the sea and leave me in peace. I didn't wish to be here, I never wanted to see you again..... NEVER!.."

At this point she didn't care, looking over to Ash behind Sophie, trying to figure out how this is going to happen, let alone how this went wrong.

"I'm with you on this one Sophie, Ashely is a little pain. But you know what will happen if you kill her... That ship that's coming here is full of men. And is being lead by a captain that loves her.... He will take revenge. You are trapped."

The whole while she was talking, her hands were busy at getting the ropes free. Already feeling the blood seeping through the rope burns.

"You only have one shot in that gun... Sophie, It takes time to reload it, by then so much could have happen. You want me and Ash, your bullets have our names on them... But, only one shot.."

Krysta was taunting her now, trying to keep her attention on her and not Ashely.

"I don't know why you wish to kill me, I have nothing you want. I ran away from you to stay out of your life. I'd rather stay out of your life and far away from anything to do with Brian.... Why in God's hell would you let some man take Ashely? You know damn well she'll just come back. She feels strongly about this ship and would do anything to get it back."

The more she talked, the more her fear was rising. Still, refusing to show it in front of Sophie, daring to keep taunting her.

Damn these ropes, I know I can get it... Almost there I can feel it!

Course once she did have her hands free then what? That thought didn't last to long, her main concern was to keep Sophie on her and away from Ashely.

double triple

"Come on boys," The men cheered once more, and were off from their spot in a hurry. They rushed onto the boat, swords drawn and ready, guns loaded and cocked. The war was about to begin.
James nibbled Ashley's ear again, "Your sister? This is a small world after all. Who'd a thought, aunt and sister and you all in the same place. Like a family reunion... except for all the blood and bodies."
He pressed the sword against her neck, looking over and Sophie, and her torn focus. The woman in her arms, the threat at her back, and the ship ready to come in. Black smoke billowed from the War Hammer. It looked as if it took more than its share of blows. He just hoped it made it in time.
"Of course I had to do it," He hissed, answering her own concerns "It was the only way to distract her. Women and their disguises. Sometimes you just have to show up, and see what the hell happens. It's a surprise every time. I guarantee it."
The sword fell from her neck, as the handle slipped into her dirty sweaty palm.
"It's going to take Thomas some time to get over here. If you want your sister to live, I suggest you kill as many as possible."
At that point, a scream rose up from the docks. James turned around, watching as the beginning of his men were killing the first guards of Sophie's ship.
James took out his own cutlass, smaller than the one he gave Ashley, but just as sharp and deadly. He ran towards one of the nearest men, matching blow for blow.

Two volleys rang out before the Warhammer moved to a position where it just could not fire anymore. He looked at the massive holes in his ship. Blood smeared the aft deck, as the port side of his ship looked like a pile of warped wood. Debris trailed their ass like blood falling from a hurt man.
The War Hammer was hurting.
Deep below, the bowels of the ship ashed and groaned under the added weight. Seawater, salty and cold rushed into the underbelly, flooding the ship. Thomas watched in horrific fascination as his ship started dropping into the sea. It wouldn't last for more than a few minutes.
Just long enough to get alongside the Mystique.
"Be ready men, we're jumping ship, right into the attack."
Lines were ready, men massed on the deck. What was left of the deck anyway. He steered a kamikazee course. The Warhammer's final blow would be on some greedy little bitch who thought she could fuck with Thomas' perfect pirate life.
"He struck the banister with his sword, sticking deep into the cracked wood, and keeping the ship headed straight for Sophie.
"Treasure and pleasure, my men," He grabbed his own rope, ready to fly off when time needed.
The Warhammer rode low in the water. He could hear below decks, water crashing and crushing what was left of her belly, throwing wood around like it was some sort of baby in a tantrum.
Something crashed, and the whole ship veered right. For a moment, Thomas winced, thinking the ship would just turn over right there and ruin everything.
It stayed, half ass out of the water, the deck at a good 30 degrees now, but inched ever closer to the Mystique.
"Treasure and pleasure," He laughed, knowing this was neither.

Sophie

"You are of little use.. as always." She glared at Krysta a moment before just dismissing her with a once over.
"If you told her nothing, then she doesn't know who you are.. who you really are.. nor who I am?"

The question never got answered as James's men gave a shout and began pouring on board the Mystique, only they were hacking and slashing as they came...

Her stomach rolled as blood began to spurt onto the deck, "You Lying bastard!" She caught sight of James handing Ashley a cutlass before the mob began to block her view.

"Your body as a living sacrifice Roman's 12.1." Her head whirled nearly around when she heard Preach spouting off his idiotic verses.

"Shit!" She was cornered nearly and out numbered. The rational part of her mind stopped working as she grabbed Krysta's roped hands and yanked on them. "You're coming with me dear Niece!" She yanked Krysta with her, around the other side of the ship and away from Preach.. Her eyes then landed on the War Hammer and the men About to jump on board.

"This can't be happening..." She stumbled and almost lost her balance, but maintained her fearful clutch on Krysta, thankfully keeping herself upright.

Two men ran by her.. her own men "Kill him!" She pointed at Preach all the while sliding herself and Krysta down the few stairs and towards .... where was she going?! She had one bullet, no sword and the shit was coming down..

"FIGHT MEN! KILL THEM ALL!" She shouted loudly, not caring if she hurt Krysta's ears or not. Krysta was wiggling again, of course trying to get free she'd suppose.. "Knock it off! I still have that bullet little girl..." She pinched Krysta hard enough to cause blood to surface before letting go.

Men began to fall, all around her lay the dead or dying, but her numbers were good.. She counted a few heads as she stumbled along the deck with her 'life insurance' held before her. Her gun dug deeper into Krysta's back as she stepped over fallen men here and there. She was half way across the deck, the cock looming closer and closer..

Ashley

"It's going to take Thomas some time to get over here. If you want your sister to live, I suggest you kill as many as possible." James slid the hilt into her hand.

A thousand things came to her mind, mostly gratitude and the urge to hug him. He really did surprise her, she never seen it coming. She gave a curt nod, her fingers tightening around the hilt, securing her hold.

"Thank you, James. I owe you." The adrenaline began to pump through her as she moved forward. She gave no quarter, no warning, just slashed across the man's neck and shoulder. She ducked and blocked, working her way across the deck towards where she last saw Krysta and Sophie.

Another was stabbed in the back as he struggled with one of James's men. "rest in peace." she muttered softly. That man had been one of her father's, traitorous bastards that they were.

Something heavy hit into her, she went down to her knees and turned, the sword coming up to block as one of Sophie's big goons went after her. She scooted out of the way of a viscious kick and sliced open his thigh. He bellowed something, and swung at her, his blade barely missing it's mark.

Men somewhere gave a loud shout and began to swing over. She caught movement out of the corner of her eye. One of Thomas's men landed on the railing, balanced and fired. Dropping the big guy she was fighting. Getting up from the deck, she was feeling the blood lust now and looking for a target. She caught sight of the redheaded aunt from hell and moved to follow.

"SOPHIE!?" She pushed her way through struggling men, trying to spot the woman again. She ducked, side stepped and swung where she needed to, all the while hunting for her sister, James.. Thomas.. Some body!

Rodger Flint

Rodger nodded and pointed toward a warehouse.

"We'll wait things out there."

He hunkered low again as another group of men ran by.

"Who the hell ARE these people? Do they own the whole town?"

After they had passed Roger took Sarah's hand and dashed toward the warehouse, trying to move her quickly, but not so quickly she fell.

James men were busy taking care of the few left on the docks outside the ship. They tried to come on, but then Sophie gathered what was left of her own crew, urging them to let the blood fall. The men, seeing James crew as the only real enemy at the time, went to attack.
James reached out, running after them, slicing blows as he ran. One of them caught him off guard, and he flew into the railing on the side, crashing along with his sword on the dull planks below.
A man with a bright grimace, brought his sword straight down. James turned, and for a moment saw the brilliance of the sunlight trapped into the sword's crest. He saw it come down with amazing slowness, unable to stop it.
It bit deep into his shoulder. He cried aloud, thankful it hadn't gutted him, but still the fresh shock of pain was bright and red in his memory.
James twisted, the sword stuck in his flesh, and with a heartened kick, sent his would be killer down onto the docks, where his men easily tore him limb from limb.
It took more than an effort to get to his feet, blood dripping down from him, plopping on the wooden planks. His own sword still in his hand, the enemies fallen in a pool of his own blood.
Two more grinned, and came towards him.
Thomas' crew was coming aboard, slowly but surely. In another few minutes they would have more than enough people, and get the best of Sophie and her men. There was nothing she could do now, except run.
For a moment, he felt a twinge of fear. His men hadn't made it aboard, Thomas' was still a long way from evening the odds, as they came slowly but surely, like a leaky water pump. The few people on board were holding their own, but that was because the bulk of her men were after James still on the docks.
She could run, and a lump fell in his throat, she might just get away with it.
James grimaced, holding his sword in just one hand, and continuing to attack. Sophie wouldn't be that smart, she would fight, stubborn as she was, and she would lose.
She had too.
He tried not to think about it, as ripe and ribboned pain contued to flow from him.

Krysta gritted her teeth in pain as Sophie grabbed at the ropes, she noticed that the one they called Preach was headed in their direction, but Sophie took off pulling at the ropes.

"If I'm so damn worthless then why keep or kill me? As always you don't make sense."

They stopped for a moment and Krysta slammed her foot into Sophie's, this only stunned her a moment then suddenly Krysta was crying out with a painful pinch, throbbing long since after the actual action. Glaring hard and full of anger towards Sophie, only keeping silent now. Never answered her question about if Ashley knew or not.

"What diffrence does it make if she knows. All that matters to her is this ship and taking it back from someone that stole it from her... Who cares what she knows outside from that?"

Her words were not as sharp, the blood felt thick around her wrist from trying to get them lose, now from being yanked around with Sophie's grip on them.

Krysta saw the scared look that Sophie tried to hide, this was the first time Krysta had ever gotten joy from being around this woman. The gun in back was the only thing that kept Krysta to behave, if that went off .....

Bodies laid everywhere, was like open war on some land or something. It was almost making Krysta sick, all these bodies would be littering the sea when this was over.

"Just let me go, I am nothing to you.."

Her voice was low now, losing the fire it had moments ago. The pain was starting to seep in and overtake her own thoughts. It has been so long since she felt pain, and even though this didn't seem like much, being dragged around was intensifying the pain.
Struggling to not trip over the bodies that they passed.

Sarah didn't say much more as she watched everyone run around, sudden screams started to flood the air as the slaughter began on the ship, for a moment she closed her eyes, covering her ears with the cannons fireing. It was to much for her, this is how her captain went mad, the scars on her back were feeling the reopen pain all over again.

"Yes, lets get out here..."

Getting some focus on where she was at the feeing of his hand, and his voice. Following this stranger that was helping her, her own mind was lost in the maddness and he seemed to be a focus point for her.

Sophie

"Just let me go, I am nothing to you.." Krysta's weak little plea did not sway her in the slightest. Her sense of loss was clinging to her every fiber, every little tingle of awareness through her told her this was the end. She had no hope of getting out of here and if that was the case, she was going to take some people with her... Namely Krysta and her tramp of a sister..

"Bullshit!" She yanked harder on the ropes, smiling as Krysta winced in pain in her grasp. Good, she liked that she hurt, because she was hurting herself. Her dream, so fucking close.. So god damned close to success! Now failed because some piece of cock had a fixation with a brainless useless twit!

"It'll all be over soon enough sweetie... and if, IF I go, you go with me." She snarled in Krysta's ear and stopped pushing Krysta forward long enough to look around. She needed to get the upper hand here...

Ashley

She spotted Sophie and Krysta, the tension in Sophie was visible even from here... as was the blood dripping from Krysta's hands. hunkering down, she scanned the fighting and bodies around her, reaching to her left and pulling a dagger free of some corpse.

Crab walking almost, she moved around the main mast and stood up, no one was paying much attention to her, a few struggles going on around her vacinity, but nothing too close. She was there, almost there! She wanted to smile and celebrate, but it wasn't over just yet.

Sucking in a deep breath, she made her move. Running across the deck, she stopped near her old door before stealthly moving up behind Sophie. She held the dagger, her revolver still stuck in the band of her pants as well.. Either way, Sophie was stopping now.

"You best release her before I gut you right here.." The knife point stuck into Sophie's lower back and twisted as Ash applied a little pressure.

"You wouldn't dare..." Sophie laughed dryly. "Or I will kill her, or did you not notice the gun, captain?" Sophie's voice dripped with malice.

Sophie gave a shove, pushing Krysta across the deck and away from her as she whirled around and pointed her gun in Ash's face.
"CALL HALT NOW! Or die..." She never made an idle threat in her life, and for once Ashley knew she screwed up.

Bloodied and tired, he crept across the deck, gun in hand. He was sweating profusely, nervous tension and battle did that to a man.. His eyes on the back of an elder sailor hacking his mates to pieces. He had just one chance to stop that man, no sword and this guy too damned good to be bested, he had one chance..

He crept a little, paused and crept a little more. Once the man had his sword buried in old Sam he moved with more speed than he thought he had in him.

"Stop right there sailor!" he pointed his gun at the man's head. "Toss the sword aside.. NOW!"

The men gave a cheer near by, knocking one of James's men over the head and tossing him over board.

"Ye got Preach! Ye lucky bastard!"

"Preach? I don't give a shit who this man is.. He just best release that cutlass.." He cocked the gun and waited for Preach to comply. The three or four up there slowly circled Preach with hungry grins.

She kept her gun trained on Ashley's face, her mood lifting a little as she spied the second gun. Yanking it free of Ash's pants, she pointed that gun at Krysta and ordered her to stand.

"Get up! Don't FUCK with me, I've had enough of Brian's little bastards to last me a life time! Move over to your sister.." She waved Krysta towards Ashley, her hands shook a little but her hold was tight.

"Order them to cease damn you! I will kill you both and then the ship will be mine, but if you behave.. I might let ya live.." Sophie was desperate enough, it shown in her eyes, their dialated state and her nervous guestures.

"Shit!" Ash swore under her breath, her hands coming up in surrender.

"James! STOP THEM! RETREAT!" She barked out the orders several times, trying to get the men to stop. "Look, I just want my ship..."

"IT'S MY SHIP! I am the first born! Not Brian! Just because.. Oh SHUT UP! Stay there where i can see ya and no funny business."

"JAMES!" Sophie called out, "You stop now or she'll die!"

"They'll die anyway, Sophie," He leaned hard against the aft deck railing, his sword arm covered in blood. He held the cutlass loosely in his arm, it bent down at a bad angle, scraping against the wood planks. The sword was no longer a weapon, and neither was James. He was beyond hurt, but laughter still shone in his eyes.
"Even if I order my men to stop, you've still got Thomas' to deal with, and I don't think they'll listen... Thomas has lost two ships in the past week, my pet."
He coughed up, blood raining down from his mouth, it covered his shirt and the deck below his feet.
"Two ships. Look at him, look at his eyes. This is nothing more than personal revenge. He isn't fighting you cause this isn't your ship. He just wants you to bleed."
James wanted her to bleed too, but he left that little tidbit to himself.
"You are outnumbered, and cornered. I'd advise you to run, if there was anywhere to run. Maybe you can give up. I can at least promise you that you won't get killed. I can protect you from Thomas, maybe not the rest of your men, or Vallen, but at least you. I can promise you'll be penniless, shipless, but alive when tomorrow dawns."
James slowly buckled as his feet failed under him. He sat down, his head lolled to one side, blood oozing out of him. He shivered, as a cold chill no one else felt but him wrapped around his spine.
"It's coming in fast. Another minute and you're up. Come on sweetie, do the smart thing for once in your life..."
Another man tempted the long swing from Thomas' ship. He barely made it. The rest, with ropes of their own, waited in sick anitcipation for the ship to edge close enough to strike.
