Hmm. I'm not a fan of body swap stories but the father-son thing is interesting.
I'd make the father the villain here. The swap happens and he sees the opportunity to bang that little hottie his son has been dating and convinces his son (now in dad's body) to stay home for safeties sake, since mom is out of town, while he goes out to "get the antidote" from work. Actually, he's headed over to his son's girlfriend's place.

I had a similar story idea, but it was clinical depression, not poison.

A young man with suicidal thoughts attempts to swap bodies with his female best friend only to accidentally initiate a 3-way swap. He didn't even know his depression was chemical until he woke up without it thousands of miles away. His friend, now in his body, has zero experience fighting depression, and he needs to rush back there before she does something rash.
