I'm trying to tame my mountain of novels. Here's my tiniest of a start. It is, at present, my only reasonably pleasant looking shelf, although it could use a few more. I'm mostly three deep with books I'll not touch again, but can't seem to let go.

Bookends are fun. I've got a couple that I particularly enjoy.

One set is a pair of ebony (wood) elephants with tiny white bone tusks brought back from Kenya by my sister.

The other set is a pair of buoys— a red "nun" and a black "can" (obviously dating from before the days of green).

I lust after the pair I gave as a present to another sister; they were gorgeous, heavy, dark green (with small white streaks) marble.

It's very good. I read it when it first came out. I must have lent it to someone though, because I can find it now. Looking forward to seeing the film.
