I know I love to read, and on a site about reading, I know there are many other readers out here. I get most of my new book suggestions from popular book lists, or authors that I already like, but every once in a while someone will recommend a book that I have not heard about and would probably never read if they had not mentioned it. I thought it would be fun to start a new thread that celebrates book recommendations; please include a little blurb if you want to give others some traction on why it is good. To make it more fun, you get to pick the next genre from which the recommendation has to come (genres interpreted loosely, or ignored if need be). So here we go:
The Moon is A Harsh Mistress, by Robert A. Heinlein. A one-armed mechanic, a bombshell blonde, an irreverent anarchist, and a self-aware computer engineer a revolution on the moon. Group marriages, physics lectures, and political polemics all in one story.
How about a recommendation for Nonfiction?
