I had this same trouble taking pics in the shower. Camera did eventually dry out. The second set of shower pics, I put the digital camera in a clear plastic ziploc bag, which kept the water out of the camera's sensitive electronics yet let me shoot pics through the clear plastic. Might be worth a try, it worked well for me.

~L~ Thank You KKE but the camera was really fine safe and out of harms way until my foot reached it. ~L~ I promise you it was a painless death for the poor thing.
