Heinrich read the letter agian. It was now morning of Friday the 30th. It was late. Heinrich did not like lateness. He was a punctual man himself and could not abide when a person or organisation could not complete a simple task like being somewhere at a certain time, or doing what they were instructed to.
Hienrich began to pace. It would be pointless to inform them of this. The fastest way to get a communication to the organisation running the slave trade camp was by telegraph. And that would take at least another two days to arrive since the community they mentioned was on another whole continent!. And even then, what would they do about it. Probably nothing. He hated it, but he would just have to wait (which he also hated with a passion) Men as important as him should never be kept waiting. Sighing he went back to reading the letter until he felt that his eyes were about to burn holes in the paper.
Just when he could bear it no longer... A loud chime rung from the bell above the mansion doors. Finally! He had been kept in anticipation for far too long. She was finally here.
He may have been thrilled on the inside, but he was also a proud man. He wouldn't let it show. So he waited a full five seconds before getting up and slowly walking to the door (He couldn't have the chaperon thinking he had been sitting around doing nothing else but awaiting Her, could he). And so he calmly rose, and gracefully walked through to the lobby, checking the mirror on the way to make sure he didn't appear disheveled. He stood at a very high 6' something (he had never bothered to find out how many inches... He had always been taller than most people and that was good enough for his ego), with a broad muscular back and a strong face. Short, dark brown hair and athletic. Born into any other station, he might have made a good solider or miner or welder. But that was irrelevant. He had been born into money and so didn't need to be a working man. His parents had been long dead which meant that Heinrich had managed to inherit titles and wealth at a surprisingly young age of only 28. He liked that about himself
And so, with a quick adjustment of his custom made outfit, he went to open the door...
