Bruce Springsteen cancels show

So, the law provides for a pecker checker at each bathroom and shower area? You know it doesn't. This law, and the impossible enforcement of it is a joke. Why not just go with a third bathroom option and be done with it, satisfy everybody

It won't satisfy the TG. It will just satisfy those who wish to discriminate against them. Separate yet equal, I believe is the historical expression.

The trouble with the whole situation as I see it, is not the transgender folks themselves but a law allowing anybody (male more than likely) to just be able to say "I am transgender" and walk into any woman's room or shower is rife with abuse. I think a better solution is to make places have three rest and shower rooms, Men, Woman and what the fuck ever.

And then you attention whores will be back wanting stalls and troughs because youre asses and pigs. You were born an ass, own it.

Bryan Adams Cancels Concert Over Transgender Bathrooms,

Third bathrooms cost money. Ain't no hate-state gonna spend money on queers. They gotta use the bushes out back.

For the loo-law to be enforceable also requires spending money. Everyone, locals and visitors alike, must be issued digital ID cards specifying their birth-gender and sexual orientation. Card-readers on loo doors will only admit qualified shitters and pissers. If ya ain't got a card, use a dumpster.

Tourism board: Raleigh set to lose $24 million thanks to GOP’s anti-trans bathroom law

A report released by the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau this week found that the local economy has already lost out on hundreds of thousands of dollars due to North Carolina’s HB2 bathroom law.

After Gov. Pat McCrory (R) signed the law on March 24 to prevent cities like Charlotte from granting bathroom rights to transgender people, companies like PayPal announced plans to move jobs out of state.

On Monday, a report from Wake County’s tourism agency said that the Raleigh area had already lost $732,000 in economic benefits, citing numerous cancellations of conferences and events, The News & Observer reported.

The Raleigh Visitors Bureau warned that the local economy could lose out on $24 million in economic benefits if the law is not repealed. According to the report, 16 other groups were considering relocating their events outside the state.

The city’s biggest loss could be a four-year contract for an undisclosed sports tournament that would have brought 51,000 people and $4.5 million in benefits to the area each year.

So the GOP (Grumpy Old Pricks) is bad for business too!

Port-a-johns have always been unisex, and nobody has ever had any problem with them.

No two guys have ever golden showered in one? :D

Not to my knowledge but guys share rest rooms and shower rooms all the time and nobody thinks anything of it. I have taken showers many times with a group of guys in the Air Force and in gym locker rooms and I believe all the men here have done the same kind of thing.

Maybe the people of North Carolina would feel better about unisex restrooms if all the womenfolk wore burkas.

Sponsor Of Anti-LGBT “Bathroom Bill” Caught Sexually Harassing 34 Women, Exiled From Capitol Building

For your daily dose of outrageous Republican hypocrisy, look no further than the state of Tennessee, where a Republican lawmaker is working tirelessly to strip transgender/queer Americans of their bathroom rights. House Bill 2414 has been co-sponsored by state Rep. Jeremy Durham, on the grounds that women would be protected from the non-existent harassment and assault of men “pretending” to be transgender in order to use the women’s bathroom.

The state legislature of Tennessee would be much better off passing a bill to protect women from the harassment of Jeremy Durham, who has been “exiled” from the House in response to allegations that he sexually harassed thirty-four different women. House Speaker Beth Harwell had Durham’s office moved across the street and limited his access to the House building after Attorney General Herbert Slatery issued a warning that declared Durham “a continuing risk to unsuspecting women who are employed by or interact with the legislature.”

GOP, Gropey Old Pervert!

Durham is also accused of using his position to inappropriately pressure and harass female staffers in the building. Slatery’s warning stated that “with few exceptions, the women who related incidents felt they could not report Representative Durham’s behavior because nothing could be done and they did not want to lose their jobs or be considered ‘untrustworthy’ by employers, clients or legislators…women avoid or refuse to be alone with Representative Durham, a situation which has affected their ability to perform their jobs.”

You will not be surprised to learn that Durham is married.

I wonder if his nickname is "Bull" ?? But I digress. If he screwed a married woman (other than his wife) and he's a public Xian then Leviticus 20:10 applies: They shall be put to death. Same goes for Mr Tromp, Mr Gingrich, Sen McCain, and a few other Xian GOP notables. Live by the rules, die by the rules. Oh wait, the rules don't apply to them. Silly me.

I live in NC and no, I am not ashamed of it. (I have had some bashing lately simply due to my residence) I really don't know why this whole thing started in the first place, they have been using our restrooms all this time with nobody's panties in a twist.. Why now? Women's restrooms are stalls anyway, it isn't like I am whipping my privates out for everyone to see in the first place. If a sexual predator decides to invade a women's restroom they aren't going to say "oh, there is a law saying I can't go in there, darn!!" Last time I checked rape was against the law too and that doesn't stop it from happening. I have daughters in High school, I am much less concerned about the TG kid in the bathroom than I am the boys that try to convince my girls to meet them behind the bleechers! That being said I do believe all showers should be required to have stalls.. I don't want anyone, girls, boys, TG,Bi, gay, straight or gym teachers to see my kids shower. (The amount of kids that identify themselves as Bi now is staggering to me, I don't remember knowing anyone who said they were bi in high school but now there are tons kids who identify as bi) I do think these celebs who are making these sudden big statements are simply doing it for the publicity, it has been shown they are happy to play in places with much greater oppression than NC and that was ok but that wouldn't get them in the media so it wasn't a problem then... It just bothers me the things people say about NC, we aren't all homophobes and backwoods. Talk about the issues, state why this law is good/bad but leave the bashing out of it.

Ok, that is my one political post for the decade!
