It was good, we actually did the dinner thing Sat. night, so we just spent the night in. Hope you got some good ideas and some inspiration for your photo project.

*MUAH* Thanks M.... good luck :catroar:

Thanks D...It was fun doing the project...I wish I had more space so I could get just the shot my mind's eye pictured, but....*sigh* Such is life!

I'd just like to say thank you all for helping me...It was fun! Hope to enter many more (love keeping my creative side working). I'd love to see any or all of you participate in future contests/challenges. The next one will start after the voting has closed and the winner named. I would imagine that will be next week...or at least that is what I think...lol

I will let you all know as soon as I find out.

Once again, thank you all!

Hugs and Butterfly kisses!

They came along just fine...*smiling*

Thank you...There will be more. Everyone should try to participate in the next one. The contest/challenge has not been posted yet, since the voting is still going on for the 1st one and if you do not feel like participating in the contest, it would be cool to see all the submissions and vote on the one you like best.
I did find the thread and voted...but not as many times as I'm used to here in Chicago :D I really liked your submission Michele

Thank you Dave...The pic has several meanings to me.

This is how I describe it...well sort of

My mind's eye saw the actual ice water glass sweating...actually the ice cubes showing, but with limited space and all, it was as close to what I pictured in my mind, as I could get.......it is kind of the way my life is....simplistic...bare essentials, so to speak..........a hot day (even though it is cold right now, I long for summer days), I wanted to convey a simple life....in silhouette. I thought more of a sepia look would convey simpler days, long past, yet still alive.

I will post both versions here...the original and the one I ended up submitting, but I will wait til the voting is done before I do.

Thanks Dave...I do not expect to win or anything, it was just fun getting my creative brain working once more. :)

That image was very close to what I saw when I pm'd you. I was very surprised and pleased to see your image. I haven't done any creative photography for about 10 years. After seeing you pic., I have to get busy learning what my camera can do, and learn photoshop.

Thanks...It took awhile...I had to go into my bathroom, turn out all the lights, shine a flashlight (I tried 3 seperate ones) to get the photo to come out close to what I really wanted...LOL The back drop (not seen) is my bathroom door...lol

Here are both photos...I decided not to wait for the voting to finish...really doesn't matter...lol

It's very good Michelle.. I have ideas on how to do another one like it..
a sheet and a bright flood light was what i was thinking..

My son on Vday had set up a large flashlight in his room with a heavy paper over the lamp..then he cut out stars so his ceiling looked like a star lit night... that;s where he gave his Gf her chocolate covered strawberries :catroar:

I use Photoshop Elements but also have Photoshop 9 as well as several other programs, but I rarely ever use anything other than Photoshop Elements. It is user friendly for me...

I'd love to see some of your photo creations. :) So dust the camera off and get to playing! ;) :p
