We girls do stay in touch, but most of them are freshmen so I barely ever see them. We start workinh out for the new season in January, but by then, I'm going to be living elsewhere so I don't know if I'll be able to play again. I hope I'll be able to still come to the games, if not the practices.

The explanation for the sudden decision was that the other team had only five or six girls interested in going so they decided to cancel on us. Bitches.

Yeah......and scaredy cats!

It's a pity you won't be able to be as heavily involved in something you so obviously enjoy doing.

I wish you well in your move to a new home........and i hope it goes smoothly for you & theres no unforeseen glitches.........maybe theres a local side you can join.....but i suppose you'll be to busy getting yourself settled & time will be at a premium?

That they do. (Heck, my I.M. frisbee team played in torential downpours when we couldn't see more than two feet in front of us due to the rain. But when the women's rugby team wanted the practice field, we got out of the way. )

So I needed some time off from the thread, mostly because I was still upset about things. My internet isn't working too well either. Sorry about that. S. and me have both been really busy lately, so we got into a few stupid arguments. Things are fine now though, I've just been busy.

Rugby continues to be ups and downs. Our coach is kind of a dick. It's one thing to push the team so hard while conditioning that we're about to puke, but it's another to act like a jerk while you do it. I don't want to run my heart out for someone who's not going to offer me a single word of encouragement and instead tell me that I'd probably be better off puking in the middle of the drill.

He has sort of a crush on one girl on the team and continues to praise her to high heavens, but the rest of us just get a generalized "you did okay... your running sucked, and the tackling is awful, but it's getting a little better, sort of". I played really well our last game, and he didn't say a damn thing about it. That's frustrating. It's not just a personal frustration, I don't like the way he goes about "coaching" us like that. It's not that hard to have a little note on each girl saying what they improved, or did well on.

We had one of our alumns, a girl I played with two years ago, play in the last game with us. She's kind of a bitch, but after the game she came up to me and said "Damn Jen, you're playing so much better from what I last remember. You're really getting in there now, nice job!" She sounded really impressed too, and I appreciated her saying something. Now why can't our fucking "coach" do the same?

If I am rambling, I apologize. Sometimes it's a bit hard to remember why I picked this sport up again. I really want our old coach back. Damnit.

I still have a crush on my hooker. It's not the first time I like a rugby girl, but the other one at least wasn't in the pack, so I didn't get so physical with her all the time. It really kinda plays a number on me every time we do either a tackling drill, a rucking drill or a scrum. She's rather small, so I feel almost protector-ish around her.

Related to that, I have a question: Is there really the stereotype out there that ruggers are lesbians? Someone mentioned it to me, but I'm really curious to know if that stereotype exists (even just in jest).

Random picture: Some of you know from earlier posts that I play D&D. Dork, I know. I got kinky with a few dice some days ago. No, not that kinky.

Damn! Back a few years ago, (too many to mention), when I played D&D, no one ever looked that good that I played with! Just us geeky guys! Those dice never looked so good!

I did'nt realise you trained everyday.......so it's not just a pastime & something you enjoy doing........I'm not saying you don't take it seriously, but that sounds rather intense?

It's not such a big deal over here........we celebrate Bonfire night on Nov 5......the failed gunpowder plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament from many moons ago.

We stand around bonfires eating & drinking & let off fireworks.........but with most things, except one as you get older the appeal wears off.
