Thank you guys. Thing is, I'm not sad in the slightest, just really really pissed and I tend to lash out at people for small missteps.

That said, goddamn it, is it really that big a deal if there's no sex in ONE CHAPTER of the story and I put it in erotic couplings because that's where all the other chapters are? So people can actually find the next chapter and not just think there's one missing? Every other fucking author who writes stories in chapters has done it, and I get bitched at and voted down horribly, even though the plot evolves and it's written well.

And don't fucking criticize my boyfriend either. This is why I'm reluctant to share, and he is even more so, and as soon as I do his capabilities as a Dom are attacked. What the hell?

And tomorrow I have to take eighty crazed kids across town and make sure not one of them decides to do something mind-numbingly stupid. Sounds like a killer day. On top of that, I'm now certain my probably future mother-in-law hates me. Until now, I thought I could win her over, but forget it.

I feel for you, Jen. There are certainly some very kind, supportive, and generous people here and, for every one of them, it seems that there are two who can't wait to cut off your head and crap down your neck.

Honestly, though, their responses have little or nothing to do with you, your writing, and certainly not the relationship you have with your boyfriend. These angry folks are thrashing about because they're in pain and, rather than healing, feel oblidged to ensure that everyone else is as miserable as they are.

You do not, however, need to give your power away to anonymous jerks. You are a bright, beautiful, creative, and talented human being. Nothing and noone can take that from you.

So, I know you're hurt right now, but this will soon pass. You'll find your creamy center again, and be at peace. Unfortunately, the 'haters' will still be suffering. For you to allow them to influence the scope of your participation here seems profoundly unfortunate.

BTW, you can also turn off voting and comments on any submission.

I know that. But I generally enjoy comments, constructive feedback above all. This wasn't constructive, and I probably wouldn't mind it so much if the story didn't mean so damn much to me, and if it was valid. My point is, you shouldn't start reading a series in Ch.09, you should start in Ch.01, and by Ch.09 you should be invested enough to forgive that there may not have been sex in one chapter. If I didn't accomplish that, it makes me a lousy writer.

Chapter 9

I looked at the comments posted on Chapter 9 (the ones posted at the end of the chapter) and they were all positive, except for the last one that ended with "Well written."

The review in the New Story Review thread was glowing!

BTW, I generally like your writing, but your one illustrated story just didn't make any sense to me. Your use of language was confusing, and I couldn't follow the plot at all. I did like the pictures, though! :D

Hey, that was near-perfect. Only Idioten would be capitalized since it's a noun. :kiss: But still, quite impressive. And so true. :rolleyes:

Yeah, I only had that one comment when I started bitching... the others were added later and raised my mood quite a bit. The score went up from 3.2 to 4.00 as well, which was nice. So thanks very much if you voted and/or commented... I treasure my comments very much. The votes aren't really quite so important, but a score of 3.2 is just kind of sad. I do like to see how the votes indicate which chapter or story was liked best, and trying to figure out why that is. It's quite interesting to do.

I thanked Red quite a bit for her review. I think I've only been reviewed there once before (for Chemistry), and it's always an honor when that happens. Of course, she picked the one chapter with no sex in it to review :rolleyes: :)

I've been asked to translate my illustrated story, but I don't like translating any of my own work. I'd rather write a new story. Glad you enjoyed the pictures though :)
