UTIs

Hey there, Jen.

I know that women deal with UTIs more often than men, but they can be really serious. The most serious thing is if the infection moves into your kidneys, which isn't always symptomatic at first. (lower back pain is a symptom, btw) Pylonephritis (kidney infection) can cause papillary necrosis (death of kidney tissues) which can lead to terrible problems, pain, and misery.

I say all this because, unfortunately, I know this all too well from first hand experience. I had a girlfriend who liked anal sex and, being a newbie dumbshit, I didn't use a condom. You can read about some of the ensuing medical adventures here. Be forewarned, though: It is not for the faint of heart.

My advice: If you have health insurance, use it.

Thanks for sharing :rose: I've had quite a few UTIs in the past... I just get them because of the extremely cold weather, even when I wrap myself up warm, I'm just that sensitive. A doctor will pretty much only prescribe antibiotics, which is bad because I know from experiencs that those will lead me straight to a yeast infection, and I really have been taking too many antibiotics in the recent past. Otherwise, all I can do is drink a ton of water and cranberry juice to flush it out before it can wander. I feel bloated from chugging so much juice, but that's what I get.

:kiss: :rose: Sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather. Cranberry juice is the best ;) and although you're feeling unsexy.. some pee pics would be fun :D
 
I'm waiting really impatiently for Lit to get the next round of illustrated poetry out... I've got one using one of my older chain pictures, about submission... I'm way excited about it. :rolleyes:
