The chain fulfills both functions, I am in love with it for pictures, but my boyfriend has gotten pretty creative with it as well. It is a nice way to tie me up when he wants my hands free for some reason, or just to restrict my free movement around the apartment (clip it to the collar and tie the chain either at the very end or very close to my throat, depending on how much he wants me to be able to move). It's also great for sensations: it takes so long to warm up the metal of the chain with body heat, so pulling it link by link through my legs is quite the intense situation... with a freezing cold chain (that bastard), or if you leave it out by the window, where the sun will shine on it, it gets really hot, almost to the point of too hot, which can also make for interesting sensations.

It's not so good for actual tying up, rope is much better for that (if you were a boy scout, otherwise handcuffs... we use both, but I like the rope better). I love the sensation of the chain being wrapped around me or dragged across my body though, I find it extremely sensual ad it's one of my favorite things.

Of course, there's also things like this, which I've never tried but it sounds rather interesting. We're not up to that level yet though, since my boyfriend is still very inexperienced and too afraid of accidentally hurting me. (I love the fact that he's responsible enough to admit that )

Thank you for the link. I do spend time in the BDSM forum, but I hadn't seen that one yet. Although I don't think it is something for me to try (I believe I would get cramps if my legs were like that for more than two minutes ) I love seeing pictures of it.
