I'm not sure why the fact that I'm a rugby girl is all that exciting, since to me it only means that I can take a beating and chug beer.

Heck, they told me I didn't have the build for Rugby either, and I still loved playing. Then again, I play on a very small team, where they need every player just to get a full team together, so no one could really affort to tell me I wasn't suited I also think that I play my position more than decently. Really, the only requirement the girls here have of their players is that they have the gute to dive right in and not whine about pain, cuts or bruises. Comparing and showing off is fine, just no whining

True, there is that. Knew a few rugby players as an undergrad. And some field hockey ones, and football ones - in fact the one football player I actually kinda got along with is the origin of one of my favourite undergrad stories.

And his girlfriend, now wife, is involved in a couple of my favourite fencing stories.
