When Watterson announced he was quitting, I eagerly awaited the last strip. I thought it would be something defining the end. Instead, it was just another strip. I was hoping for a strip where Calvin realizes Hobbes is just a stuffed tiger. And, that Suzie was after all, a girl. Someone to play with on a more mutually satisfying level.![]()
Some of his classroom antics were the best!
