Camelot 2001

I have a question, last night I was doing some more research, since it was a little confusing that Gareth went from a kitchen maid to a knight. It says it was all because of this Lynette person. The problem is, Lynette isn't one of the knights, at least he isn't one that I have found yet. So, who exaclty is this guy, and how did he make Gareth a knight?

Yowzers, you've done some ~serious~ research on this one... Isolde, I'm in awe! I just hope I can do the thread justice with my character!

Let me look into it but I believe the person you are talking about turned out to be his wife and not a HE at all.

And thanks Kepic. Remember..these are simple guidelines so I can keep the story together. You make your char who you want them to be...within reason of course.

Only The Bad Guys To Go

Okay, I have posted bios for:

Merlin

Arthur

Pellinore

Guinevere

Nimue

Morgan le Fay

Isolde

In short, everyone but the bad guys

Working on that now

See, and I was all thinking something wrong, my info didn't have anything about Lynette except that she was responsible for him becoming a knight. I only got one picture, and the person next to Gareth did look like a man.
Thanks for the help though, and everything else.

NP Pooh...glad I could help.

tuymo....I got the invisible knight up now.

Hope that helps you.

Sir Dagonet

Seeing as how Arthur is going to be out of the picture for a while, Isolde has kindly asked me (did I phrase that correctly, Mistress? Please don't whip me anymore!) to take on the role of Sir Dagonet, the con-man of the Round Table.

His current incarnation is Dirk Gently, paranormal investigator, proprietor of the Holistic Detective Agency. At least that is what it says on his business card. :) Actually, Dirk is a tremendous con-man. He is brilliant, but very lazy, and investigating the impossible has proven to be very lucrative. Despite the huge fees he charges, he lives very modestly in a London flat, mainly because he only takes cases when his secretary threatens to quit if she doesn't get paid sometime soon.

Dirk is a rather large fellow, at least 50 pounds overweight, prematurely balding, and absolutely against any form of physical exertion.

Morgan Le Fay, with a twist.

Dr. Faye L. Morgan

CEO of one of the largest and most powerful pharmaceutical companys to date, Avalon Enterprises, Inc. Even though Avalon Enterprises is a very profitable and well-respected company in the medical community, Dr. Morgan's drug trade extends beyond what would be considered 'appropriate'. Her underground labs have been responsibe for the creation and inital drug trade for many if not all of the so called 'designer drugs'; i.e. ecstasy, lsd.

She is a power-hungry, selfish vixen. She is thrilled by the idea of bringing 'pleasure' to a great number of people through her designer 'creations'. Her thrill comes moreso from the fact that it makes them pliable, indebted to her and open and willing to suggestion. Addicted and bascially under her control if the situation calls for it. And that is exactly how she likes it.

Chronologically she is centuries old, but by use of her magicks and shape-changing abilities, she has taken on the appearance of an attractive 30-something. A mass of long flaming red tresses are restrained well while at the workplace, but allow for a bit of a wild quality when allowed to flow free. Her eyes mirror the deepest night, dark obsidian jewels that can pierce a person's soul. She is a temptress, and uses her appearances for what she considers the utmost benefit. Hers.

okie Green Knight it is! i foudn the info thx to Neale and now Sir Lamorak is open ^_^ thx for the help! im startign to like this green knight dude the more and mroe i know about him!

Sir Aggy and his Modern Counterpart

Agravaine, as already posted, seems a good knight who got murdered for trying to turn in the two lovebirds. So, I see him as a very dutiful, honest man who believes in truth, fidelity and openness. As such I have the following idea for his modern day character:

Sir Archibald "Archie" Grenville
Age: 37
Height: 6'0
Color: Hair/eyes brown, skin permenant tan
Physically very fit
Works as a newspaper reporter for the Times in London (note, if this is limited to America only, make this the NY Times and drop his knighthood), reporting on current affairs and notably war correspondence. Received a knighthood for bravery during the falklands war - if it was not for his action, Britain would have lost three trucks to friendly fire due to a miscommunication. He has also been known to report on political figures acting immorally. He does not glorify the scandals as do the gutter press. He is known for accuracy, truth and an inability to be bought. In fact, he has reported more abuses of power than sexual scandals etc.

BTW: When will this thread start? No rush, just wondering.

OKAY

If everyone didnt see....the link to the char info that I am going to be GMing everyone with is:

http://www.literotica.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=36721

You can use this if you are having a hard time finding anything out about your char or just to understand why I am doing what I am doing. There are so many legends going around it was like muck to wade through them. So this helps us all to be on the same page and keeps everyone straight for me...ESPECIALLY the relationships!

Good grief! And I thought modern soaps were bad!

I am going to post the first post to the thread today...so, after I post Merlin getting ready to go out and get everyone, I will need you all to post what your modern char is doing after that so that I know where to go to pick them up.

I will be going after Nimue first so she can referee the knights (believe me they need it!) while I am away getting the others. After Nimue it is first come first serve.

Oh, and Gawaine....Can you PLEASE leave some of your fellow knights alive this time? Boy! Talk about needing Prozac! :D

Gawaine

This Knight is a busy one...lol How did he find time to father all these illegitimate children if he is killing all the knights...lol I may spare the knights this time so I have time to flirt with all the ladies...or all the men since my modern day char is female...wow talk about gender confusion...lol I think I need to read more on the other knights for I am not sure which ones I killed...any suggestions Isolde on who's bio to read. I did read Mordred's already :)

Ah, sweet Isolde - to reitterate one thing mystery said (and yeah, I know he shouldn't have) - you are a nut... But I mean it in the best way. Your single-minded drive to research all of these characters, post resumes etc leaves me, and I am guessing the rest of us, gasping in awe. Amazing! Thank you for all of your work, and I can only hope that I can do as good a job on this thread as you have...

...Btw: although I have posted a modern bio, one thing came to my mind and I wondered what you might think. Aggy had a wife... what if the wife of Archie was also the wife of Aggy reincarnate, and knowing who she is, but waiting for the time to tell Aggy. She'd be a minor personal NPC, and so it doesn't matter if you think this is garbage, but it might make for a couple of interesting subplots.

MntAngel:

It was said that Gawain killed over eighteen of his fellow knights bu the main bios you want to read are:

Agravaine: Brother

Gareth: Brother

Gaheris: Not only brother but constant companion and the only one who could calm Gawain down

La Bel Desconneu: Your son...might be good to know how you two met. You did not know him at first..had no idea about him.

Lancelot: Hey, the man killed off ALL your brothers except Mordred. Agraviane he killed when Aggy found him and Gwen and the others as they were escorting Gwen to be roasted. The whole war with Mordred happened cause Gawain was after Lancelot's blood.

Pellinor: He killed your father Lot in battle and I believed you killed him.

Lamorak: Son of Pellinor and man who slept with your mother Morgawse when she brought you all to the castle after your father died. One of your brothers killed her and then you all ganged up on him, jumped him and Mordred stabbed him in the back.

If I remember more for you to go see I will post it later.

Meanwhile that is enough to get you started I think

BadForm: Sounds plausible. Do you have someone to play the part of your wife, need someone or are you going to do it yourself?

The Green Knight: HotStuff

Imoen is Morgan and in charge of the bad guys. We will work the bad guys this way:

They will be available if someone wishes a good second person who is not extremely complex or Imoen can use one as an NPC when she needs them or they will be available for someone who wishes to come in later on at take a part in this thread.

I am going to do one last invite for anyone still wishing to join but we will get this going today. I will take the part of any knights that are not taken until someone takes them or they get killed.

If anyone wants a second one to play please feel free to step in and take on. I will not role play them until everyone has posted first and they are actually needed.

Isolde - I have no need of anyone to play the wife. As I said, I intend to make her a minor personal npc. So, she'll be controlled by me (heh, not many husbands dare make that comment about 'wife' - 'I'm the man, till you get home' as the song goes). Just give me a day (ie till tomorrow evening), to work out how to deal with Aggy's missus, and I'll be primed and ready for action.

As quoted from Isolde's other Thread

She is surpassingly beautiful and desirable, if morally lax. She is either forced into or conceives and engineers an extra-marital relationship with Lancelot and is either condemned, according to law, or forgiven outright for her sins. She either was a willing accomplice to Mordred's treachery against Arthur or was forced into it against her will. Early mentions of Guinevere give tantalising glimpses of her original relationship with Mordred: he is shown forcing his way into Arthur's Court, dragging the Queen from her throne and striking her, but the reasons why are unknown. The incident may have been related to quarrels between Guinevere and her sister, Mordred's wife, Gwenhwyfach, which are said to have been the eventual cause of the Battle of Camlann.

ok.... I say Gwen is conceives and engineers an extra marital relationship...he's young and he's a knight......and Arthur is too busy to notice her ;)

I say she is forgiven outright for her sins......

she was an unwilling accomplice to Mordreds treachery.......he blackmailed her...I swear hehe

did I miss anything?

possible mixup?

umm i was reading the updated whos playing who and i saw that you had me posted as playing Agravaine i tought i was playing Lionell? if we droped him ill play the other dude i just was curious.

Morganna - must be a slight slip-up, if you check this one, you'll see I have had dibs on Aggy for a while.

I am going to post now, can I request that I am not the first knight picked up. I want to introduce my character a little bit before I turn into the great and noble Gareth.
Thanks a bunch.
Gary

Okay..... I'll go and post now- just had to say the name of my modern day equivalent first otherwise nobody would know who I was talking about.

His name is Thomas Green, and as you know he is a fantasy author. The rest will come out in the post- sorry about this one, I just forgot to post his name earlier.
