To all of the chat mods who say, "no, we won't ban for calling someone a cunt", I wish to remind you that Miss B was initially banned for calling someone a cunt. A moderator had been under the influence and was harassing a chatter by following him from room to room and calling him names. Miss B called the mod out for the harassment, and ended it with calling the mod a cunt. Bam! Banned.

A second instance was when a chatter was continually harassing me whenever I logged on and I told her to "fuck off". I then was the subject of a ban on sight discussion and was placed on the watch list for harassment.

So don't sit here and pretend that you're so lenient with profanity and name-calling. This is a prime example of the double standard that exists that chatters who are mods can do one thing, but ban others for the same behavior. This is the very thing that chatters have been crying foul for over the past 2 years. Moderators, whether they like it or not, represent literotica. They should be held to a higher standard. And I know the argument, "but mods are chatters first". Then hold these chatters to the same standard that they are banning for.

This is ridiculous. I'd let it go... but, obviously there are two sets of rules for this community.
I PM'd BitchGoblet and apologized to her after the interaction. She said "Great"

Later, I reconsidered and PM'd her. She justified her comments and reiterated she didn't call me a cunt - per se. Whatever, this is silly. Moderators have banned a legion of users for a lot less than this. Who exactly is watching these people? What rules do they follow?

100% agree. The mods constantly abuse power. Some lurk in rooms without including the mod symbol by their name, bait people, then ban them. They turn blind eye to their friends and by doing so, condone such toxic behavior. I won't name names (but more than happy to) yet one certain mod takes over a room posting non room topic blather for hours at a time making it impossible for anyone not interested in the mod's life to use the room for what it's for - chatting about the room topic. The mods NEVER use PMs despite it being the #1 reason given when a room of 100 names is completely silent. It's a clear abuse of "power" in which they ban anyone that crosses them.

No, I do. It's not a paid service. Double standards can apply since they are providing the service. The owner of the site would have ultimate decision on this. If they allow it, then it's a reflection up on them and their modding practices.


It's no different than going in a business where they throw people out for cussing, but the owner cussing someone out themselves. Sure it's not gonna look good, but you know what?
