where we're almost ashamed to call ourselves canadian, it's so damn hot here!!

But at least with the warmth comes an excuse to remove clothing (like who really needs an excuse), so here is a nice little shot of me....

wow i thought you would have had snow by now hubby.. all we have had si wild wind and rain and i tell ya keep that( re pict) in calgary it might get blown clear off on vancover island. and that would be a real shame...

Wacky weather

I just returned to Alberta from BC... and am I glad to be back home!

The weather on Vancouver Island was crazy. I had to sit for a few hours in an interesting little pub in White Rock to wait for the BC Ferries to start running again as they were cancelled due to the windy conditions.

Then the rain in the Fraser Valley (BC) was ridiculous. I think I've started growing webbed feet.

But, all is well now that I am back in Alberta. It's a weird thing, but the sky always clears when I pass the "WELCOME TO ALBERTA" sign.

hey there raw..
you thought van was nuts .. you should have been on the island.. and i keep hearing we are getting more.. they were trying to tell us hurricane winds.. but seeing as i am not a snow kinda person i think i had better look tween my toes.. web huh??good to hear you got back to alberta all in one peice.. try comeing back in early june.. better weather or late aug.

I prefer Vancouver Island in July and August...catching and cooking fresh crab...drinking rum in the shade on the boat...hopping from one little marina to another...can't beat it!

Although I won't be moving anytime soon...summer visits are good enough for me!

we got a little hill out here pack them skis and come on out. although i hear that the little hill at the other end of the island is complaining about the lack of the snow too.
were i am at if we get more than 2 inches they close the roads.. hehee we don't get much in the way of snow.. except that month in 96. now that was something.

Opposite here, all kinds of snow usually, just nothing that passes for a decent vertical.
Course it is just 5 hours to whitface from here.

Funny I was taliking to the wife last night about hitchhiking to Whistler with my skis on my back
