Donald Trump started this nonsense. He renegotiated the current free trade agreement with Canada in his last term. He spoke glowingly and bragged about it. Nothing changed in the four years Biden was in power. I couldn't be prouder of my country for not capitulating to his erratic and thuggish behavior. There is no deal or negotiations to be had. Trump has proven to be an unreliable and dishonest deal maker. Why should Canada believe he would honor a deal when he has reneged on previous ones.
