The first clip in the OP says it all. I don't blame Canadians for supporting their own country, maybe they should consider extending the same courtesy.

Now for some cold, hard, facts. US exports represent ~12% of our GDP. Of that 12% ~17% is represented by trade with Canada. Meaning that Canada represents ~2% of the US export market.

Conversely ~33% of Canada's GDP is derived from exports and ~75% of those exports are to the US. Meaning ~25% of Canada's GDP is derived from selling into the US markets.

Who has the problem?

for example :

USGS data on potassium indicates net imports account for over 90% of US consumption, by volume, consistently. Canada is the leading global producer of Potash. The US producess less than 1% of total global potash.

Gas prices on average are about $3.10 per gallon. A bit under $3.00 where I live. If the Yale Budget Lab estimates are accurate, the tariffs will drive prices up 6 to 9 cents in the long run. I’ve seen other estimates projecting they might go up as much as 20 or 30 cents in the Northeast. And a Canadian on this board told me he thinks the tariffs will drive prices up to $5.00
