Personally, I prefer seeing a bright red backside, which rarely turns black and blue... unless I'm in an exceptionally enthusiastic mood.

As for my erudition, chalk it up to a misspent youth of entirely too much education. I cannot claim to be a scholar of Latin, but there are few fields I haven't explored, albeit lightly. I chose Magister for its link to one of my favorite (non-sexual) pastimes, D&D. Also, it is somewhat related to Master, which is what my geri calls me.

I trust everyone is enjoying the remarkably pleasant weather today? My plans for the afternoon include grilling salmon, just because the weather is too nice not to!
