I have run in to some accounts who were either very unwell people or someone who was fixated or has been hurt by someone and was seeking catharsis by pretending to be a depraved version of that person.

But I also think that I have chatted with people who were so depraved that it was hard to discern whether they were earnest or not, like Rule 34 crossed with Poe's Law.

Yes. Karen was Ken. He targeted Republican males on the GB. And being as stupid and gullible as Republicans can be...it was quite the thing. We still talk about it 10 years later. The videos...were elaborate. Ken...was something like a Hollywood agent. He hired a certain female actress to make special videos...and then those catfished sent videos back to Ken. Mutual...entertainment.

This was an actual experience of several people. Ken was a huge catfish and caused a lot of pain.
