@lilmissdarling is right. This is one of those movies that sticks with you psychologically. It would be the movie I have seen most recently that I would say "bothered" me.

So just to be clear.. not everyone has weapons strategically placed throughout the house so they are never more than a step away from something?
Not everyone is constently scanning their whereabouts and always sit with their backs to a wall to gauge threat levels and have a plan to escape or defend?

If you do watch "The Strangers" it will be interesting to hear your take. The sequels were nowhere near as good, but this is a movie that messes with your head.

And then I found Methgator. Im watching it. And yes it's terrible.

Ok, over the last three nights I have watched "Scream 7", "The Devil's Mouth" and "The Void".
Tonight I am planning on watching "Until Dawn". I really need this movie to bring it home, because the other three have just been "meh" in my opinion.

I liked the Void. The "action" so to speak never stopped. But I kind of felt bad for the Daniel guy. He pretty much spent the movie getting his ass kicked at every turn.

The cultist outfits though.. 10 outta 10. Creepy AF.

Yeah I think I went into The void expecting weird b movie and got exactly what I wanted and then some

I didn't expect it to go all LoveCraft and body horror but that just added to it

I did like that aspect of it, but a lot of the movie felt like "The Crazies" to a degree for me up to that point.

Oh, and the guy playing the grandfather, may be the worst actor ever.

@lilmissdarling I just was curious as to your ranking of the Scream films since you appear to be more of a fan of Scream 7 than I was.
I am not disparaging the movies themselves, just wondering how you would rank them. I had higher hopes for the latest Scream after the previews. I think that is somewhat affecting my feelings towards the movie.

I think there are plenty of others here who have valuable insight and probably know more than I. But sure, when I have more time available I can give a ranking.

Also.. Depending what time I get home, I may watch Hellraiser tonight (finally). Should I start with the original? Or one of the newer versions. Let me know y'alls thoughts.

My question is, what should be my next watch? Does anyone have any recent films that I should see? Everything I can think of to watch is 10 years old or more and I am wondering if I missed anything recent that people enjoyed. Any suggestions are welcome.

After watching Until Dawn, I have to say that I really enjoyed it. Maybe it was knowing that it was based off a video game, and therefore I had a sense of the theme and tone. But for me, it would be the best horror flick that I have watched this week.
