i will listen now i promise and do nothing and try not to move to much. i the dumbass went out yesterday for an hour to the inlaws and i paid dearly yesterday evening and today. tonight seems to be heading for the 'there isnt enough pain medication in the house to help'. i have to call tomorrow and get more pain stuff but at least they figured out which meds were making me so ill. and what i want more than anything right now....a hug and snuggle. well that and the bandage on my stomach to be gone as it is driving me batty. sorry i'm whinning again. i'm back to the couch and maybe a movie and a nap.

and and an extra to the gorgeous blond goddess that sent me the flowers and chocies, i still smile every time i look at them.

no sorries okay...you were keeping me sane before the surgery so and i've been useless since.

it's a whole new level of humiliation to ones independence to have to ask for help eating a bowl of oatmeal. after a certain point you cant get any more out of the bowl without help.

maybe instead of humiliation i should say i'm being taught humility and to not take things for granted that i can do on a normal bases. and my respect for other people goes up more and more each day.

now if someone will sneak me a hanger to get to that itch half way up the bandage i would be ever so grateful and i promise not to tell the hubby who gave it to me

I know how you feel kinda. I've broken an elbow and a wrist. The elbow was my right arm so not too bad (I needed help washing my hair) but my wrist was my left, my writing hand, and I was ocmpletely useless without it. My husband had to cut up my food, feed and change Boo, I couldn't even hold her on my lap for a while. It was a nightmare.

/giggles/ you should have seen me signing for a package yesterday while the hubby was out. one i probably looked wild as a hatter sine it was mid codeine cycle and they had woken me up and two i was signing with the left hand. the man just grinned and said it wasnt any worse than his chicken scratch.

the little diva finds it amusing when her daddy has to cut up my food as well. mostly i miss hugs and snuggles with her but she has been amazing with it all. she saw the bandage on my stomach yesterday and asked me if i had one on my butt as well. lol don't know why she asked that but i laughed so hard it hurt

i wish it would have lasted. i'm feeling quite sick and uncomfortable today. we went on a short drive and i started feeling car sick within minutes. it took laying down for an hour to even be able to function this much. i go back to the hospital tomorrow and thats nearly 2 hours driving just to get there[insert barf smilie].

if the grafts have taken we'll be over the moon even if car sick over the trip. if when they remove the bandages i have rejected the grafted skin i'll be going back in really soon to have it fixed. then there is the issue of removing the bandage off my stomach where they so kindly stuck part of the tape down over the pubic hair so i will be receiving a partial unexpected brazillian when they remove that bandage okay i'm cringing more over the thought of that than i am anything else.

[fingers crossed] for the over the moon and not to much hair being ripped out.
