Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

I learned something today. While warming up a cup of coffee in the microwave, I grabbed a mozzarella cheese stick out of the fridge and took a couple bites. I stopped the microwave with 12 seconds left on the timer and pulled out the mug. Then I thought, "I wonder what would happen?" and put the rest of the string cheese into the microwave while I "adulterated" my beverage with creamer and sugar. The cheese started to melt the final 2 seconds. It really made a huge difference how the mozzarella tasted! So good. 😋

Im actually frustrated my favourite hockey team had to win tonight to clinch a spot in the Playoffs and they lost by one stupid goal.. I HATE one goal games..
I heard you were ill are you doing better?
Neurovirus...a ugly virus that gets you on both ends at once. One awful night and it's over...
I'm much better now. Lady K is giving me Gatorade, water and light foods. I wonder where I caught it?

I think it's norovirus. Our family got hit with it when we went to Disney World, right after my wife finally completed her PhD. For two years, I said, "Worst Disney vacation ever!"
Then I saw that someone's small child was killed and eaten by an alligator on their Disney vacation and felt lucky that we were merely puking and shitting our guts out. And, as you say, it's one horrible day and you're over it.

I can't spell anymore...it's the 71 year old brain. And I don't take well to illnesses.

Tha last time I was in WDW was during Christmas 18 years ago and Lady K and I both got sick with pneumonia when we returned to our Philadelphia home at that time...it was 17 degrees then.

I didn't realize that was what had hit us until several months later. At the time, I listened to the Fantasy Focus podcast on ESPN pretty regularly. Matthew Berry had gotten it, but he mistakenly referred to it as "rotovirus." When he described the symptoms, I immediately thought, "Oh! That's what we had!" Then I tried to look it up, and there was no listing anywhere for a "rotovirus." Eventually I stumbled across the correct spelling.

I have some really fond recollections of going to Disney World when I was stationed in Orlando. My family came to visit right after I had started Nuke School, and I took 3 of my brothers and my little sister there so my parents could enjoy a night out without having to worry about the kids. Two other times, I went with a bunch of my fellow sailors to "drink our way around the world."

After looking that up, though, I realize those trips were to Epcot Center, not the Magic Kingdom.
