I so want to be a grammar nasty on lit, the english who are purported to have invented the english language shouldn't be allowed to use verbs in the past tense while explaining a happening in the present tense on a public forum. I think it is just wrong.

And before anyone has a hernia about this it is all in jest or is it, I haven't made up my mind yet

Why is it people think it's okay to hold a phone in front of their mouth with speakerphone activated and have a conversation in a public place ? I would be sexist about this and say I saw a man doing this but alas a woman was found doing the same thing one level down not 10 minutes later. This all transpired more than 24 hours ago so you would think I would be over it but apparently not.
