For a while weekends just dragged on while waiting to hear from someone. But since that's changed, it suddenly flew this weekend.

Work just makes everything drag I feel because you want to be there. A lot like when we were in school.

I use a wire brush for mine, but that's mostly to get rid of the rust after a prolonged period of disuse.

Make sure you use a brass one…
It makes it shinier…

They don’t need to polish their knobs with a wire brush. A bit of spit and elbow grease soon gets those glistening

Brass brushes are the best for a shiny finish. I use brass on all my tools.

Oh, you fancy a little role play? You go and dress up nicely (I will undress) and then you can take my temperature. I am overheating right now (menopause) so your thermometer might just explode!

The thing is, if they don't keep their tool clean, the tool loses efficiency. You saw back and forth and the extra friction caused by the rust makes it more difficult than it needs to be, for example. In extreme cases, you might even damage the tool further, or even break it entirely. I know people are laughing at this issue, but it's a serious problem.
