Not in the sense of the genre "trance" but it is kinda 60s psychedelic era type music. It was done by Tommy James and the Shondells, who also did Crimson and Clover (over and over!) Crystal Blue Persuasion came out in 1969.

Wikipedia says it's been covered a few times, maybe that's what you're thinking of. It just makes me feel old that somebody hasn't heard of the original.I couldn't find a remix. Lucky for you.
(But then, I've been listening to 50s, 60s, and 70s music since I was 12...)

I'm 11 years older than you but I spent my childhood in Europe so different early musical influences. Hence, my love of techno so there!
