Mob connected Madame/sister to Daniel. Cheriss had been the gift that Daniel would sell her to his friends from the time she hit puberty. Then she was taken in and rescued by the local Madame and Mob Princess in their town who groomed her to take over for her in the coming years. Now Cheriss is the Mobs most trusted and beloved Madame and her brother is a Corrupt detective for the local police department who now uses the girls that she helps to go after her and has also sent others to go after his sister but Cheriss is a survivor thanks to her mentor and the life she was forced to live. Ethan is Daniel's Ia secretly assigned partner who can't stand him or his methods but has no choice but to be assigned to him for now. Though he is learning more about his partners past now that he is seeing Cheriss. He was originally told to act like he was "cut from the same cloth" as Daniel to learn all he can about him and that’s how he met Cheriss. He was told to go after her and do whatever he wanted to her short of killing her and he went but instead of being able to follow to some extent to not blow his cover he ended up falling in love with her and now works even harder to help IA get whatever they can on Detective Katarra to put him away for good.

They have been seeing each other for months now. Ethan using a secret entrance to come and go as he pleases without raising suspicion with her brother his partner Daniel. Cheriss found it strangely comforting to have him around it was a very strange union but still it was perfect in her mind. She woke up looking over at him still sleeping there beside her with a smile faintly gracing his face made her smile. Curling up against his chest and shoulder she closed her eyes again as fingertips faintly trail along his chest.

Glancing briefly at the clock beside the bed she sighed a little knowing he would have to leave soon to go to work, ignoring that unfortunate necessity she snuggled her still naked form closer to him and nipped softly at his earlobe.

Ethan's assignment as the new guy in Internal Affairs was to get as much dirt on Daniel as possible. Command knew Daniel was dirty, but they could not proove it beyond a reasonable doubt. That was where Ethan came in. Get as much information as possible. Do everything Daniel did, follow his lead, and earn his trust, and report everything back to IA. Right from the beginning Ethan noticed that Daniel and a hard-on for this one particular brothel. Everytime they went into that brothel Daniel would give the Madame a hard time. He would yell at her, call her a whore, tell her she was going to be sorry fo everything she did, and then he would pick one of the girls and disappear; sometimes for hours. Ethan started to pass the timeby making idle conversation with the Madame. I am just glad your Captain stepped in and while he didn't see anything got her away from Daniel. I think the old man has a soft spot for her... not that he has ever acted on anything but see finds it cute that such a big grizzled man acts like a how did she put it... "Shy bear". Slithering her legs down along his legs she purred faintly kissing at his neck in all honestly not wanting to let him leave yet but using her for an excuse to call in or to explain running late would not be a wise idea. Her brother had not sent goons to attack her and her "family" here in a while so she wondered when that would happen again... Her brother normally was fairly predictable though with her mob connections she did know that someone was moving a massive load of gun and Morozzo was not thrilled about its voyage through his territory. Its sad when the Local Don wants a corrupt cop killed instead of trying to recruit him.

Be careful around Daniel Ethan... He can't know about us... I know its been a few months now that we have been seeing each other but you know my past with him. His attacks on this place, sending his goons to attack my people here. And his and my childhood history... She shuddered a little and held him close for a moment.

Ethan enjoyed laying in bed with Cheriss.... He enjoyed just being around her. As they laid there quietly with her lips on his neck, his fingers just grazed softly over her body. He could sense a little bit of concern, maybe even fear in her demeanor and then in her words as she spoke to him and warned him to be careful.

Ethan rolled her over and knelt above her. He looked into her eyes and leaned down to kiss her sweet lips softly. Their kiss was perfect. He leaned up looking, once again, into her beautiful eyes. "Do not worry about me," he whispered to her. "I am a big boy and I can take care of myself. I worry about you. I don't want anything to happen to you. He is due for one of his rampages."

Ethan then leaned down and kissed Cheriss agan. The kiss deeper this time. He worried about Cheriss constantly. He did what he could to settle Daniel down when he wanted to go to the brothel and conduct one of his attacks. Ethan had to be careful though. He didn't want to blow his cover. As they kissed he thought about how he had to get up and head into work. He would love to spend the day with her, but he knew she had a full day ahead of her. The kiss lingered; he didn't want to break it.

She curled into the kiss for a long moment before breaking it determined not to be the cause of him being late for work.

Daniel is not that smart when it comes to his hatred and problem with me and our past and my managing to...

She fell silent and slipped from the bed tossing on her robe for now. Walking around to the mirror she bit her lip softly truly scared of him working with her brother knowing what he was capable of. Daniel was truly the only person that deep down she feared. When it came to her brother in many ways she was still that terrified young girl but she had found ways to fight back and with the help of her allies she has been able to stop him some and block and strike back in some small ways.

I know you can take care of yourself... We are both good at that but still he is in no way stable.

She moved back over to him and reaching a hand to his cheek she smiled to Ethan still unable to believe she was falling so hard for a cop of all people.

Ethan watched as she moved away. He leaned up on one elbow and paid close attention to the way she moved. Something was bothering her, and he had a feeling he knew what it was.... Daniel. She always worried about him. Everytime she started to talk about her brother she would bite her lip... one time she even drew blood.

As she caressed his cheek he looked into her eyes. He could see the pain and torment. "I will be fine. I am a big boy and I am very caable of taking care of myself, and I am very capable of taking care of you too."

Just then his phone rang. It was Daniel. Daniel wanted to know where Ethan was. He told Daniel that he had been out late and stayed with a friend. Daniel told him he needed to get to the Kitten's Pride House quickly because, as Daniel put it, they were about to have some fun. Ethan hung up the phone and moved to Cheriss. He took her in his arms and told her that Daniel was about to conduct another one of his raids. He kissed her forehead and asked her not to do or say anything that would push Daniel over th eedge. Ethan also promised to do everything he could to make the raid easier on Cheriss.

Ethan then dressed, once again too Cheriss in his arms and held her close. He kissed her softly and asked her to please be careful. Then he slipped out the secet entrance, and took a roundabout way to meet up with Daniel.

Daniels plan was to show up after the main attack to shake things up and hassle or arrest whoever was left. Then he got a call telling him some big gun muscle of the Morozzo family had shown up with Berto and they would contact him when the goons left and let him know when their part of the attack was over.

Cheriss was in her office waiting for her usual meeting with the local don or one of his associates. She was deep in thought barely noticing that Morozzo had even walked in... he was alone and walked right up to her lifting her up and pressing a kiss to her lips... he missed their little getaways but understood that she was in charge now of his late sisters operation and they needed to have a business relationship instead of a bed and beyond relationship... but he could not deny that he missed that body laying beside

What about your wife Berto? Cheriss laughed a little looking over Shaleeza he can get jealous all he wants...and huff and do all that big talk about slipping back into my bed someday but its all just the song and dance of the business girl you know that. Now… You have an appointment this evening however with Vincento. I know the guy is an attempt at pretty boy slime but you know what to do... get him drunk… get all the information you can out of him… get out as safely as you can and have fun. After Berto left the house with Shaleeeza there was a knock at the door. William opened the door only to have it explode back from him and several people charged in grabbing him. Two of them grabbed him and began beating on him till he was backed into a corner on the floor where they kept him pinned while the others attacked the girls and Cheriss as they came downstairs to see what was going on. Cheriss came down gun in hand only to have it knocked from her hand after she was grabbed and made to see what was happening to her “family” before one of them turned on her. The Gorilla of a man dragged her back up stairs leaving the others downstairs to reek their damage on the others.

He had been told to have all the fun he wanted but not to kill her. Her brother wanted her alive. All of them were told to have fun but not to kill anyone and get out quick before anyone saw them there. Brutal attacks on the whole manor and then as if nothing happened the attackers left

Ethan pulled up behind Daniel's car. He put it in park and got out and walked up and got in the passenge side of Daniel's unmarked police vehicle. "What's on the agenda today," Ethan asked. Daniel smiled at him and said, "Sport, watch and learn. Today you are going to learn how to get revenge like a pro." Just then the police radio crackled. It was the radio room calling for them. The Chief of Detectives wanted to meet them on the other side of town. He had a special assignemnt for them. Daniel cursed, then got on the radio and acknowledged the assignment. Daniel then took out his cell phone an made a call. "I won't be coming in at all. Carry it out as we planned. We will meet up later to go over what happened." With that he hung up the phone, turned to Ethan and said, "Leave your car here. We will get it later."

They drove off to meet the Chief of Ds. The assignment was a menial task that agravated Daniel. He was upset to miss out on his fun. After completing the task, Daniel drove Ethan back to his car and dropped him off; telling him they would meet tomorrow at HQ. Ethan went back to his car and waited until Daniel drove off before heading back to Kitten's Pride House. He took a circuitous route to make sure Daniel was not having him followed. When he arrived he used the secret entrance. When he got inside one of the girls was waiting for him. He knew the girl but wasn't sure of her name. She handed him a piece of paper. "That is the address of Bertos' private doctor. That is where Cheriss and most of the other girls are. It wasn't pretty here today."

Ethan rushed back out and sped to the doctor's office. He burst through the door. He pushed past a couple of mob thugs and asked where Cheriss was. One of the thugs pointed to a door, and Ethan burst in and stopped dead in his tracks. He looked at Cheriss, then moved to her and took her in his arms and held her close. "He will pay for this. He will pay dearly."

Late that evening, Tuyen was standing wobbly in the door way that led from the private entrance as if waiting, clearly in some level of shock when the door opened on perfect time for Ethan to return from work.

Tuyen bit her lip and backed away a little from Ethan after she handed him the paper and told him what happened. A whimper fell from her swollen lip, it was clear that the place had been hit looking into the hall behind her. She was still edgy about cops from even before coming into Chreiss’ protection and after clearly what may be the most brutal attack yet she was terrified of any male for now.


With that she collapsed not knowing he had rushed out with her and handed her off to Bertos goons to take her to the Dr while he found CHeriss.

Cheriss eyes were swollen nearly shut as she instinctually tried to recoil from him until the old doc said... Its ya pet cop Kitten... Looking over seeing Tuyen he looked to Ethan... You be gentle she may be sedated but she can still find the energy to fight if she thinks she has to just ask Nicky boy over there. He then walked over and guided them to carry Tuyen to another exam table.

E...Ethan... Cheriss tried to talk... I... told ya he was not stable... sent some of his old friends this time... Shaleeza found us... Doc won't tell me anything about my girls and William... are they okay.

The nurse looked over shaking her head no but muttered... they will live. Bertos wife Jackie had secretly had an IA detective brought over to the hidden location.

He looked around... I want proof it was Detective Katarra... This could be our final proof at least about his insanity against his sister which means we get a psych eval... may not be much but its something... Ethan... I see Jackie pulled in a cop as well. He gave him a knowing wink He could care less that he was seeing Cheriss and the fact that his face spoke volumes right now. So Ethan did Daniel do this?

Ethan looked around at the mayhem before him...... mayhem ordered by Daniel and carried out by his goons. He heard the question, but thought about it for a second. He wanted to handle this himself, and he knew that he could. The dilemma was whether or not he should deal with it, or do it through proper channels. He looked at Cheriss.. looking into her eyes. Her eyes told a story, but he did not know he well enough to be able to understand that story. He hoped to get to the point where he could read her.

"I am not sure. I think he might have, but I don't know. I couldn't provide proof. He talked about having fun and getting revenge, but he talked in generalities. There is no way to make a case against him for this." Ethan thought about wearing a wire to see if he could get Daniel to say anything that would incriminate him. Ethan also thought about getting Daniel to a remote location and addressing the issue himself. He continued to look at Cheriss... hoping for a clue as to what to do.

 

[Asa]

The IA detective growled out a Damn and looked around then to Cheriss. Do yo know any of the people that did this? Before she could answer he looked at the Dr I want Rape kits done on them and sent to this address handing him a card tell them under MY orders they are to run all samples through ALL databases Someone is going to pay for this... A blatent attack like that is NOT going to go unpunished.

The more he stomped and growled the more Tuyen began to recoil and struggle to get away from everyone terrified waking up to such ranting.

Cheriss seeing this tried to get up and fell back against Ethan wanting to get this guy to shut up before Tuyen really flipped out. She laid there against Ethan... Get him out of here. She moved her head a little and pressed a kiss to his lips then growled at the IA detective.

Ethan held Cheriss and looked at the guy from IA. "Listen, we all want to make the people who ae responsible for this pay, but all of the yelling and screaming isn't doing the victims any good. Why don't you go back to IA and wait for the rape kit results and I will keep an eye on things here. i will see if I can get any information from them that will help us catch these guys. I think that I can calm them down and get them to talk to me."

Ethan watched the IA detective. He didn't look happy about being told what to do. He looked around and saw that he was getting nowhere. He looked at Ethan, "I want you downtown with any information you get. Don't take all night getting it either." Then he turned to the doctor. "I want the rape kits done and sent to me right away. No delay. Don't mess them up." Then he stormed out.

Ethan held Cheriss. He whispered to her, " I am sorry I didn't prevent this. I will make it up to you though. I promise."

 

[Asa]

Cheriss just laid there against him as the Dr sedated Tuyen. You can't stay with us 24/7 Ethan you have to work to help stop my brother

She curled against him her eyes closed feeling his arms around here. The pain she felt was nothing with him there with her.

"Cheriss, you have to give me some information. The girls have to tell me everything they remember about the guys that did this. I am going to take care of your brother, and I am going to get every one of those sons-of-bitches. I have a plan, but I need your help. I need to know who carried this out. You and everyone else must tell me EVERYTHING."

Ethan was formulating a plan. His anger was getting the best of him. He wasn't thinking rationally and at the moment was thinking moe like a mobster than a cop. He was going to extract revenge, and it was not going to be pretty.

 

[Asa]

Jackie looked over... you need help with whatever your planning? Its a very thin line you are walking Ethan... You go down the road your thinking about there is no coming back but... I could talk Berto into hiring you if you do.

Cheriss looked at Ethan listening to Jackie, then looked to Bertos two goons. You two will help him no matter what... He dies you two die... Got it. Once they are better we will talk with my girls and William not before.

Ethan looked at Jackie. "I've got this. I have a plan. It will take some time to carry it out. I am going to whittle away at the people that did this, and I am going to save him for last. You think he is brutal? By the time I finish with him he will whimper like a child. When I am finished with this, I may need a job Jackie, but if I carry it out the way I picture it in my head, nobody will have any idea I had anything to do with it. Nobody that will be alive that is."

He continued to hold Cheriss close. He caressed her back. Nobody was going to do something like this to someone he cared about. At least they weren't going to do it and live to talk about it for very long. He whispered to Cheriss, "I couldn't stop it, but I will avenge it."

Jackie nodded and looked to the goons Cheriss yelled at and nodded also. She was not going to cross Cheriss in this state. The goons just gave Cheriss a yes ma'am and nodded to Ethan. Sounds good man

Cheriss moved her hands to cup his face and turn it to hers. I know you want to avenge this but you don't do anyone any good risking your life. SO accept their help and Get me out of this place NOW

She hated hospitals and the sedation was wearing off and her dislike was shining bright. I have work to do more people to find and hire and Bertos meeting to get people in place for and...

SHaleeza looked over and laughed. Hey cop boy just kiss her and shut her up we know our job and we will be fine to do it... but yeah get her out of here the doc is too nice to get his ass kicked by her.

Ethan kissed Cheriss softly, picked her up, and carried her toward the door. He looked at Jackie. "We will talk, but if I agree to let you help me it has to be done my way. I control it. I get to look into his eyes as it ends. He will know he fucked with the wrong people."

He caried Cheriss out to his car, sat her in the front seat, and then drove her back to the club. When they arrived, he picked her up and carried her inside. Took her to her room and sat her down on her bed. He knelt beside Cheriss. "What can I do for you?"

The place was trashed and her room bore the signs of all of her struggles against her assailant. She looked around and sighed before pulling him closer to her and kissing him for a long moment before she whispered

Help me forget... Ethan just... help me forget.

She moved a little and allowed the robe to fall from her shoulders and then slowly pool at her waist as she sat there her eyes searching his her hand still cupping his cheek. In this moment she wasn't the tough as nails survivor she was tender... vulnerable... She needed to feel the warmth and tenderness and love.
