Chicago Decline To Continue

While I think Hisarpy is wrong that we will see fusion devices small enough to be used the ways he's claiming if we could get simply replace the power plants that run on fossil fuels and transition to mostly electric vehicles that really solves 90%+ of our consuption of fossil fuels.

You clearly do not have a firm grasp on either the technology nor the reasons we want to transition away from fossil fuels. The primary reason global warming and pollution. There are other reasons to do it like being truly energy dependent which we haven't been in a very, very long time. We import plenty of energy. That's before we count in the products that we consume that use oil in their production.

However a product made of oil doesn't effect the global warming issue. IT's "sequestered" which isn't the proper term I'm sure but close enough. Coal in the ground, harmless. Coal used for painting. Harmless. Coal burning powerplant BAD. Its really that simple.

The overwhelming majority of our fossil fuels are used for energy, so much so that electricity is considered separate from transportation. Whatever is left is stuff we can created in a lab and that would be pretty close to carbon neutral.
Remember what your insane leader said: "Number one, no more subsidies for fossil fuel industry. No more drilling on federal lands. No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period, ends, number one."

Which if carried out would mean no more oil period.

First he was speaking about on public lands but more importantly we can make oil. We've been able to for years and years. Its a little expensive but depending on where the price per barrel is its not THAT expensive. There was talk about it when the gas prices spiked back in 07.

When we elect a new President, one who makes his own decisions, all of this bullshit will be reversed.

There is no reason to think Biden doesn't make his own decisions and I highly doubt all of it will be reversed. You are making a really good argument to eliminate term limits for presidents though.

There is also no reason to think the next Republican president will make his (and you can bet it will be a "his") own decisions. It'll be whatever the oil industry wants, and the president, if he's anything at all like the last two GOP presidents, will more than likely not know or care about the issue in his own right.
