Chris Wray be gone.

Tariffs will raise the price of just about everything. There's no way around that. And they're certainly not going to bring back manufacturing jobs.
Keep talking for all to see how F###ing stupid you are...!!...Their a tool to negotiate with NIMWIT...!!...

Ahhhh Now that is better. No VegasMark bs to see. I traveled around Californina and saw all those people in the fields picking

This is not a trade war...!...This is leveraging the greatest economy in the history of the world to better America's position...!
1. It is absolutely a trade war. Both Mexico and Canada, for instance, have explicitly said that they will retaliate against any tariffs waged against them
2. BRICS appreciates your vision of the past. While we do have consumer power here, the amount of power has diminished over time as more of the world has come online. Shifting supply chains, for example, used to tank companies for years, whereas now it is a matter of weeks.

The immediate impact is that producers of goods seek the next cheapest markets.

Africa is a good example - the US was the dominate LEADER of the supply chain there before 45 pulled us out in 2016. China now dominates the country because they invested there far more ...building incredible infrastructure.

Mexico and Canada have already caved to the power of tarrifs...They will both be closing their borders...No more terrorists / Fentanyl soon...Neither economy can survive without the USA...So they will / have talked tough, but they will fold as we just witnessed over the last 3 weeks...China is next to have their act called to the carpet...Will Trump invite Zi to the inauguration...?...Have him kiss the ring in front of the world...?...Iran will be soon to follow...

They have no changed their policies at all.

You have some 47 colored glass on. Reality doesn't match .

They have no plans to change their current policies

Incorrect.

He is absolutely correct. If worst came to worst they'd crater. But that would not come without cost to the US economy as well.

Realty matches perfectly...!...You obviously are in denial to the shift in power that the whole world is witnessing...!..

No policy has changed. No policy is planned to be changed. Except - They have made plans to counter tariffs with their own

Trade wars never work out as expected. And all you have are expectations. I've posted actual actions that have taken place.

A quick and recent example- our tariffs on China directly led to a bail out of the US farming industry.

Yep..Our $29T dollar economy vs Mexico's $ 2.5T dollar economy...Canada's $2.0T dollar economy...Guess we will be short tequila and avocados...

Yes, obviously those are our only imports. Absolutely no supply chain upstream that will require shifting to.....??

That wasn't the point, was it dip shit?
Your entire point is that you like that 47's approach is to throw his dick on the table and see no possible bad outcomes from it. You probably also believe he will solve all other issues with his manliness.

I am looking at recent African trade markets shifting to China and tariffs leading directly to massive subsidies for American farmers. Supply shock has unintended consequences....most of which lead directly to high costs downstream for most things.
