The blue ray set of the stop-motion Christmas movies is a thing I got this year and it's actually really cool. They have several different versions of all the movies, including the original airings and that's neat. Makes Yukon Cornelius look less batshit for constantly licking his pickaxe. In the original, he wasn't looking for precious metals, he was looking for an underground vein of peppermint, which in that universe was mined at the north pole, just around the workshop, rather than being extracted from a plant.
Also, it claims that this was the FIRST cinematic universe, which sounds like a lie but I don't know enough about the history of cinema to contest it. I'm just thinking that like... sure to god somebody made a sequel to something prior to these Christmas movies. But they make that claim and I don't know enough to dispute it so I'm forced to either believe them or google it and I'm too lazy to do that.
