Fiona was stunned that Suara knew her granddaughter was pregnant with Rho's child. They had long discussed the idea that Rho and Naiya might have a family sooner rather than later, but it was still shocking none the less.

"Seems as if your family is growing fast, Sam." Fiona said with a smile towards him, the shocked expression still on his face.

A small smile cracked Sam's expression and he covered his face with a hand. "Tha' idiot... If Ma doesn' wring 'is neck, I will. He better take good care o' her."

"He already does. I trust him with my granddaughter," Suara nodded. "And he'll make a good father."

"Have they mated?" Fiona asked as Sam grinned like a fool over the thought that his twin would be having a child.

"Not officially. But that doesn't matter. They know where they belong," Suara nodded. "Naiya knows what she wants, though I'm fairly certain this cub was an accident. Leave it to young people to do such things."

Fiona glanced over at Sam and then back at Suara. "Not with us. I can promise you that. We both have much we want to accomplish before we bring a child into this relationship. Besides, I think we're both too selfish right now to focus on a baby."

"There's no shame in not wanting children or wanting to wait. I waited until I was nearly thirty to have my first. And young Samuel has a few things to sort out with his father first, I'm sure."

"Not to mention a war." Fiona said as she looked over towards Sam. "Although I'm sure that your sisters will be excited to have a niece or nephew close by to spoil. They are excited for Kate but that child will be living so far away."

"They'll be over th'moon about it," Sam nodded with a small smile. "I migh' be a little excited myself."

"You've always loved children, no matter how tough you think you are," Suara teased.

Fiona chuckled as Sam said that he was excited as well about his brother's child. He was a good uncle to his niece and nephews from Annie. He would be a wonderful father one day, but they had talked about not wanting to add to the stress of their situation.

After the meal, Suara sat Fiona down and laid out her tools. "I think I know just the design to use. Where would you like it?"

"Just under the breast." She said as Suara got all of her materials laid out and ready. "Close to my heart."

As Fiona lifted her shirt, Suara smiled at the tattoo already there. "Near your lovely fox then." She had Fiona sit back and she cleaned the area carefully before taking her darkest ink and laying down the first points of color. Sam was at Fiona's side, holding her hand quietly.

"And our tree." Fiona said as she tried to relax and took Sam's hand, squeezing it as the pain got too bad from time to time. "In fact, would you considering helping with our wedding ceremony? I would like to have the tribe represented as well."

"Of course I will. After all, Sam is an adopted member and you're a member of another Erygonian tribe." Suara worked quickly, forming a flowing Erygonian letter S over the branches of the tree that mimicked the style of font on Sam's own tattoos.

It didn't take long and Suara carefully cleaned the area before going to fetch a mirror so Fiona would be able to see it.

"Are you happy, love?" Fiona asked Sam softly as Suara left them briefly alone to go and fetch a mirror so that she could see the tattoo.

"With you? Always," Sam murmured, leaning down to kiss her tenderly, lifting a hand to her cheek.

"With everything, I mean." Fiona said softly as their kiss broke and she was left looking into his green eyes as he cupped her cheek.

"You never like my answer when you ask that," Sam murmured. She would know well that he still dealt with his anger and depression regularly, he just hid it so well that no one was ever the wiser save perhaps her and Julia.

Fiona didn't get the chance to say something as Suara came back with the mirror and she was soon looking at the addition to her fox tattoo. It was lovely and subtle, just the right touch to make Sam feel more comfortable with letting her go off on her own with her dragon.

"Anything for you, love?" Fiona asked him, looking up with a smile. "He talked the entire time we were in Sweden about having you do his tattoos."

"Well I had Ronan put Fiona's leaf on," Sam murmured, looking to Suara.

"You had talked about wanting something to match your father," Suara reminded him. "The sun and moon on his palms I think. You wanted the moon and Rho wanted the star."

"Yeah..." Sam murmured with a flush and Suara chuckled.

"Rho already got his. Your mother would certainly appreciate it. She's always called you two her moon and stars."

"Go ahead, love." Fiona said with a smile as she watched Sam blush at the mention of his childhood nickname. "I'll even hold your hand if you're too scared."

"I'm no' scared o' needles. Pretty used to it now," he murmured, watching Suara pick up a new set of needles. She would sterilize the others later. She took his hand and set to work right away, already familiar with the pattern.

Fiona chuckled as he took her spot and Suara got to work. She took the moment to wrap his neck in a tight hug, a kiss pressed against his cheek.

"You don't have to be fearless in the face of everything, love." Fiona whispered against his ear. "It's okay to show me some weakness from time to time."

"I'm okay fer now, love," he murmured in return, resting his forehead against hers as he mostly forgot what Suara was doing.

"For now." Fiona said softly as he rested his forehead against her own. "Until I pile wedding preparations upon you and you decide that you would rather run for the hills than marry a crazy fox like me."
