Clearly the Allure has Won!

Feeling chipper! Holiday starts at 3 today and the sun is out! Lucky me:)

Lucky us! Nice to see you, enjoy the holiday weekend!! Watchout for blind babies*

A blind baby is a bottle rocket without a stick thrown into the air when lit.

Enjoy your holiday ...

… Hope you have a great time (don't forget to take pics and make us all jealous or hard or whatever depending on how sexy the pic is!)

If you meet a nice guy, fuck his brains out and have fun - it's just a holiday romance so no strings perhaps ;)

Help with prose...

Hello my fellow perves!

I need a little help and some creativity. For a philosophy assignment I am working on I need to describe an object as a painter would paint it. I have chosen a bottle of red wine. I need multiple paragraphs!

Any creative minds out there care to help me put an artistic description together?

So far I have

“ The world over, most bottles of red wine have the same general shape. Two cylinders stacked together, the smaller, narrower cylinder above softly flowing into the curved top of the wider base cylinder. The smooth shoulders connect the two sections creating an inviting curve that cradles nicely in the palm of the hand.”

I am making it subtlety sexual... of course I am! Lol

It’s a lovely photo, just imagining my hand instead of yours..

Don’t forget the bottle colour, as far as I know, always green glass, but the colour changes where the wine is still in the bottle.

Also not sure how useful it would be in a description, but the perve in me says remember it’s use as a dildo.

So many words that I have used in other forms of writing appear in this draft...!

Any writers out there who can help me make this sound more eloquent?!

A bottle of wine

The world over, most bottles of red wine have the same general shape. They are composed of two perfectly shaped cylinders stacked together, the top narrow cylinder softly flows into the curved upper part of the wider base cylinder. The smooth shoulders connect the two sections to create an inviting curve that cradles nicely in the palm of a hand. The solid base is roughly three times the height of the long, elegant neck.

For the wine lover a bottle can appear regal and inviting with its sleek contoured shape and rich colour. The shiny foil capsule highlighting the opening majestically sits like a crown atop of the tall slender bottle. Once unwrapped and the cap removed the mouth of the bottle is revealed, showing its evenly placed spirally threads that wrap around the top inch of the neck.

A well dressed bottle has a top wrapper protecting the contents and a coordinated label. Most labels are visually appealing and curve just gently around the center of the base advertising the product, its region, year and type.

The colour of the bottle is a dark, rich green and almost looks black when the bottle is full of red wine. As the burgundy liquid disappears the emerald green of the glass emerges highlighting the strong yet delicate glass structure.

An underappreciated part of the bottle that usually goes unnoticed as it is typically hidden from view, is the bottom. It is not until the bottle is empty that the traditional punt may receive some attention as its concave shape is held. The dimple at the bottom of the bottle is a functional and historical part of the design. It the past when bottles were hand blown it was difficult to get the bottom smooth enough to stand firmly, there would be small bumps in the surface of the glass which would cause the bottle to rest unsteadily. The punt allowed the glassblower to make sure the bottle could stand upright without the risk of wobbling. It is thought that this dimple also acts with a dual function, that of catching sediment in the inside creases along the bottom curves on the base.

One can imagine the traditional glassblower carefully heating up the materials needed to sculpt the final product. The skill needed to remove the molten lump of hot melted glass from the fire and create the contoured vessel was an art form. The artist would create the graceful cylindrical shape as he turned the material slowly and with precision throughout the process, reintroducing it to the flame as needed, spinning, shaping and tapping the viscous material as it cooled until the desired shape was reached.

From the slender neck to the sloping shoulders, to the curved base, the wine bottle is a graceful object.

To the volunteer editor... I could send a photo of your request? ;)
