Almost all the "experienced" people in congress voted to let Bush and Cheney take us to war. Their experience didn't allow them to detect cherry-picked, warped intel that was used to justify the worst foreign policy decision in decades. It's not surprising when you or I is fooled - who wouldn't trust Colin Powell, after all? But at this juncture having watched the debates and done some research I'll take the integrity and vision guy over the alleged experience, which didn't equate to wisdom on the part of people who aren't just you or me. We tried a so-called compassionate conservative and we got a quagmire that's fucked up our economy and our status in the world.leZilla said:This could all change, but if we were voting today, I think voting for Obama would be unwise.
I like Obama better than Clinton. However, he just does not have the experience. He's too young, he's too easily persuaved, he just doesn't have the experience necesarry to run a country. Don't get me wrong, I love that guy. He's what our country needs. But we need him in 10 years from now. Not next year. He needs to learn, experience, age, gain wisdom...
I'm glad we have choices, but Giuliani and Clinton evidently represent more of the same double-talk beholden to special interests, and if the race comes down to those two the "choice" will be negligible, and voter turnout will be disgracefully low.
