That reminds me. Jamaican is terrific, but any and all South-American coffee (Brazilian, Colombian) is crap. No way to get around that...

What does our Ms. Lauren drink BTW? Curious.

. . . says the pseudo-connoisseur who comes from the country responsible for cultivating 'crap' coffee, and who quotes the devil in her sig. line.

Nope, NO WAY to get around that. :D LOL

Coffee. ;)

Ms. H.:
Bite me. :p

PS: Brazillian coffee was crap then, and it still is now. The good stuff was brought in from Africa, not Brazil.

Maybe, but at least I don't have a coffee mug. :p

We call your coffee mugs...shot glasses!!

You probably don't drink beer from a bottle either.
One of those dainty little wine sippers, I bet.

It's cow juice. I hear some rookies put it in their coffee.

It's half milk & half cream, if memory serves. I wouldn't use it in coffee, but when mixed with some chocolate and a few shots of espresso it's heavenly. ;)

Hey, don't dismiss me gal.

I don't drink coffee, never touch the stuff.....*shudder*.

But......if you're talking tea...*sigh*......Lady Grey, black, no sugar, not too strong......nectar of the goddesses. The only hot stuff I drink

*off to get my first-thing-in-the-morning-cup*.

Good morning y'all. Just so that you know it, I sit here with a fresh steaming mug (yes, mug *sticks tongue out in the direction of Porto*) of Kenya's finest.

I'm gonna be late for work, because I just can't rush a good cuppa.

But really, do I care?

To misquote Ben Franklin "Coffee is proof that God loves man." (Ben thought it was beer)

I usually have a cup before I get the kids up and another cup during breakfast with them. After the hubby and kids are gone for the day, I have a third one. If someone comes to visit, I'll make a fresh pot and do my damnedest to kill it all (especially if they brought some Danish). Hubby and I enjoy espresso after our evening meal.

Hugs,

Kat

you know you are addicted to coffee when..

juan valdez looks might sexy and youd offer him your body just for a handful of beans..

or youd drink generic (chock full o' nuts) coffee

im not proud and have stooped to this level on many occasions. ah beggahs.. can not be choosahs..

Coffee is the single justification for the existence of the word 'aroma'

Lauren, in most things I defer to you, but I must suggest that the scent of a woman is a close second, and an alternate reason to retain the sense of smell.

You won't see me arguing with that one. :D

You did use the word 'scent', though. 'Aroma' is custom-made for coffee. ;)

And old anagram:

Coffee aroma = amore of café

Anyone heard of 'Camp' coffee?

It was a liquid in a sauce bottle with a label showing an Indian servant presenting it to the Sahib on a silver tray.

It tasted like the tarnish on the tray.

I drink instant coffee (heresy!) - Douwe Egberts Continental Gold. It tastes good to me.

When I was small I remember the smell of roasting coffee and associate it with London trams. When we went shopping in Croydon, the tram stop to catch the tram back home was just by the extractor vent from the coffee roasting machine in the coffee shop's window.

We then went home and drank 'Camp'. Ugh!

The best 'coffee' I have ever had was in Split, then Yugoslavia. I was at a cafe inside Diocletian's palace drinking the Yugoslav version of Turkish coffee. Seriously strong and bitter but nothing like most people's idea of coffee. It conjured up visions of hookahs, opium and dancing houris - or was that the 140 degree proof plum brandy chaser?

In later years 'Camp' produced a decaff version. Why?

That's cute and all, but um what language is it? :D
A little of each, I guess. :)

Hey, I didn't make the damn thing, I just posted it.

The best cup of coffee I've ever had was when an Armenian friend of mine fixed me a cup of instant Armenian coffee. I almost had an orgasm.

Hugs,

Just received an email from Abs, and she asked me to post this here.

From Abs to Lauren: "tell her its real American coffee....lol."
