I've been living here in Chicago for about four years now - obviously not having been born in this country. Truth be told, I lived in London for essentially my entire life, only having come to the United States for my studies in the University of Chicago. I'm studying physics, of all subjects - though, I plan on continuing my studies here in medicine. My GPA was quite outstanding, given that I had a 3.9 out of a possible 4.0. I don't mean to brag, but I was obviously the top of my class and given my extra-curricular record, my acceptance into medical school was a sure thing. My parents were going to be very proud. I wasn't sure on whether I'd stay in this city once I would be done with my studies though. Sure, I loved London and I thought that it was the greatest city in the world, but part of me loved Chicago too. I was getting ahead of myself, however. I would deal with that when the time came. For now, all that I needed to worry about would be maintain that stellar GPA of mine.
It wasn't all easy though, even if I was great at my classes - it was, after all, a bit difficult being the most sought after girl on campus. I guess that I was lucky then, being able to avoid all the guys were practically drooled after me during my four years at the University of Chicago. I had my morals and having sex before marriage definitely went against this - my parents obviously having influenced my mindset a great deal. I seemed to be the only one following such an idea; what with all the noises and rumors I'd hear around campus. I think that it was the fact that men couldn't have me that made me so appealing to them; though my figure was almost mostly to blame. I was tall, had naturally blonde hair (which I had dark highlights made to it, but I digress), had large DD cup breasts, a slim and toned physique (what with all the yoga that I did), a plum, round and fit ass, long legs and an hourglass physique in general. I tried not to dress too provocatively, but sometimes, out of force of habit, I'd show up around residence wearing my extremely tight grey yoga pants. Woops.
I did have a boyfriend though. His name was Tyler and he was mostly known around campus for being, for all intents and purposes, a star athlete but an overly nice guy. He was a basketball player and we had met through our economics classes. We have only been dating for about a year now, and thankfully he respected my views when it came to intimacy; the most that he ever did was give me a peck on the cheek. I loved him and I was sure that someday we'd get married. For now, it was a bit heartbreaking to see him get teased from time to time because everyone knew that he hadn't bedded me yet. Guys could be such jerks and just so cruel. On the bright though, we were both nearly done with our bachelor's degrees. I was hopeful that grad school students were a bit more mature.
Anyway, as I mentioned, school was pretty much the only thing in my life. The only thing that I did, besides burying my nose in books and working part-time as a yoga instructor , was go over to the recreational room in the residence building (which I was a monitor for) and play pool with a few of my friends that I've made over the years. They were, usually there before me.
Though they weren't here today...
"Well, this is unfortunate." I thought to myself, moving my long hair from my face, observing the now empty pool table. It looked like I'd just go to my room then, submit my assignments and check my mail then.
