Hello All,

Thank you Sly Fox you nurture my muse. Welcome golfnfool - yes please do post.

In one of my posts I wrote

"If you could - you might post something like street addresses and phone number and maybe directions for those of us unfamilliar with Denver and no Denver telephone directory - just a suggestion. Thanks -"

Another suggestion - if someone might be willing to post prices - door cover charges, how much are drinks or whatever (or there abouts) and what might be very important -> Do they take checks (like from Pueblo)?

I don't carry money around with me and usually pay by check - A few times I've been embarrassed and I've noticed there are a lot more places like in Colorado Springs that are not taking checks anymore - I suspect Denver might be the same way - a couple of years ago - I didn't have a problem writing checks for everything but now...

I'd like to be sure I'm covered for whatever - It would be dissapointing to drive three hours and find I couldn't get in for reasons I neglected to check on - I know I need to take care of that - but if anyone would be willing to post these things it might help bring people that ordinarily wouldn't come - What do you think?

Some excellent suggestions, Firemoon. If I do get involved in trying to organize another meeting any time soon, I will take responsibility for posting address, phone number and directions to whatever place we decide on. As to cover charges, prices, check policies, etc., once we decide on the place, a simple phone call to them would probably answer most of those types of questions, which could then be posted. Unfortunately, there's not much we can do about the weather since that is so "unpredictable" - even to the weather "forecasters". But as the old saying goes, "If you don't like the weather in Colorado, wait 5 minutes and it'll change." That may be fine for those of us who aren't facing a 3 hour drive to get there...

I work outdoors at DIA, nightly, and it's really been bitter the last couple of weeks. Hopefully, riding weather will return soon after the famous 'last snow of winter' sometime this month. Yes, we need the moisture, but I say let it run down from the mountains... HAHAHAHA.... sorry... being selfish here....

Hey Fluvius... Thanks for "volunteering" to organize our next "shindig"... Actually, I was just teasing you when I "nominated" you for that "honor" . But, having said that, I certainly have no objections to your taking on the task and will be more than happy to help in any way I can. What would you think about St. Patrick's Day weekend?? Either Fri. evening or sometime Saturday? (We wouldn't be available on Sunday ). St. Pat's day is actually Monday, the 17th, but I don't think that would work too well...

Meeting at the Fair?

Hello All,

The Metaphysical Fair begins Fri the 14th - Anyone planning to go on Fri? I hope to attend a couple of lectures and would love to meet people from this group there!!

Wow! It would be wonderful if the next Gathering was also on Fri - (What do you think Fluvius??) - Since I hope to be up there and all. I might even have a place to stay the night so I won't have to make the three hour drive back that night!!

will give you all the information including where in Denver you can tickets. - As far as I know you can pay the entry fee at the door and choose what you want to do or where you want to go after you get in. At least that's how it works in Colorado Springs - I'm most familiar with that one.

They are also advertising "dinner" so maybe we could meet to eat, follow our interests at the Fair and meet later - or something - just a suggestion??? As far as I know - I might only be able to make one trip to Denver this month - it would be really fun if i could meet some of you then!!

Hello Everyone ~
Working tonight so I thought I would pop in for a quick bit. I am doing a major data base change and all my toes and fingers are crossed that it goes well...I am not in spirits for an all-nighter!

I will be out of town for St. Paddy's day weekend...I have to celebrate my People's Holiday with some sort of debauchery and lewdness. So, flying to Boston to mingle in the finest Irish Pub's the city has to offer.

I hope everyone's weekend is wonderful! I certainly have enjoyed the fabulous weather!

Hello to the Colorado faction I somewhat keep up with this page. I live a bit north of the mile-high city. I watched as ya'll went through the pangs of the first lit-together. Jumping to RL is quite a jump...sometimes.

I will watch to see if this weekend develops into another get together. I'm not terribly interested in the Fair, but dinner/drinks/talking would be great.
