Breaking news that Congress is shutting down until June after a GOP rebellion against Trump

This is the most inept, dysfunctional Congress ever. Trump is attacking GOP Senators and destroying the GOP majority and maing demands that eben the GOP won't sgree too.

Trump is losing control. The mid-terms are going to be a blow-out and he's going down in flames.

The president's party almost always loses House seats in a midterm election. The only exceptions in recent history were 1998, when voters were furious with the Republicans for their plans to impeach Clinton over a blowjob, and 2002, when 9/11 still hung heavy in the air and Dumbya's approval rating was stratospheric. Trump is gonna Trump, but the Republicans would be in trouble anyway.

This is no big surprise - Congress doesn't do that much anyway.

But to assume the Democrats will win the Midterms is exactly what we thought in the 2024 presidential election and Trump won pretty handily. Maybe we need to stop being arrogant assholes and admit that we don't know how to win elections.

The Senate refused to vote on Trump's Insurrectionist Payments Fund.

Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio, who was given the lengthiest sentence for participating in the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection has already said he will seek a payment.

Tarrio was convicted of seditious conspiracy and several other felonies. He later spoke at the Congressional hearing, apologizing profusely for his actions and heaping praise on members of law enforcement who he said have been unfairly mistreated and maligned after the Jan. 6 attack -- which he called a "national embarrassment."
