Congressional Primaries in Texas and North Carolina Today!

To be fair, Cornyn is just as bigoted (remember when he compared gay marriage to marrying a box turtle?). But yes, Paxton is a purer shot of bigotry and that's what sells on the right these days.
Paxson is a racist bigot with a microphone, and has enormous appeal to the WhiteGuide/CHAN demographic.

Results from smaller counties coming in first.
Tallarico getting massive 65% of the vote in Hispanic precincts.
If this keeps up statewide we might not see a Dem runoff.

Also worth noting: In the 5 "Bedroom Mansion" counties in Texas (Millionaire Rows, etc). Cornyn has a significant lead.

Tallarico seems to be a better fit for Texas than Crockett.

Crockett may have been polarizing (and black) enough to spur republican turnout. She’s a maverick, but she will likely never rocket to the highest political heights in Texas…

We shall see…

Congrats to James Talarico. It was a tough battle, both solid young politicians. Now let's get Texas blue! Crockett has something even better perhaps AG for the next Dem president one day.

Blue wave turned into a RED SUNAMI! THAT YOU DJT for your endorsements!

Ken Paxson managed to get into a runoff by gaming the system.
John Cornyn's primary base of support is huge Dallas county
Dallas county was the ONLY fucking county in the state that had "polling machine synchronization trouble"
State Board of elections ruled that the 90 minute delay meant the polls in Dallas county alone could stay open an additional 90 minutes.
Paxson ran to his close personal hunting buddies at the Texas Supreme Court and his buddies said nope, polls close on time.
Figure Cornyn would have gotten at least an additional 15,000 extra votes

Some people question the wisdom of primary elections -- because only party zealots bother to vote in them, and they do not necessarily represent the views of less eager voters. Primaries make each party move in a more extreme direction.

Dan "Popeye" Crenshaw, the Navy Seal congressman, was ousted in the primary by oastor Steve Toth a man endorsed by Jesus Christ and Donald Mushbrain.

Texas Attorney General Paxton was impeached by the (Republican) Texas House for charges that included taking bribes.

He also almost went to trial for fraud, but settled out of court.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Tuesday agreed to pay nearly $300,000 in restitution under a deal to end criminal securities fraud charges that have shadowed the Republican for nearly a decade.
The announcement by special prosecutors in a Houston courtroom came less than three weeks before Paxton was set to stand trial on felony charges that could have led to a prison sentence. It was the closest Paxton — who was indicted in 2015 — has ever come to trial over accusations that he duped investors in a tech startup near Dallas.

Under the 18-month pre-trial agreement, the special prosecutors would drop three felony counts against Paxton, while he must pay full restitution to victims, and complete 100 hours of community service and 15 hours of legal ethics education.

The “15 hours of legal ethics education” is hilarious considering he’s the state attorney general.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton makes deal to end securities fraud charges weeks before trial

Why do MAGA sheep love crooks so much?
