The lyrics are about a young man lamenting love, but the chorus is right at the heart.

Anyway, at 20-25 I'm not sure I believed it. Looking back at 56, I wish Curtis was still alive to tell him how right he was with that phrase.

It does and will happen. Just be open, when it finally shows up.

how come women say they want a nice guy but then i approach then and in nice and friendly even alittle shy , they back off , some run away, and if i sure read them a poem i wrote
some have run away. so it confuses me if u want a nice guy then
why do i have such a hard time getting someone to be with me
most just want to be friend which is nice but not quite what im looking for .
so what is it ?? am i trying to hard ??? or do i just scare them ???

I know I for one am sick and tired of hearing a woman say she wants a nice guy to treat her well. When the truth of the matter is, if he's some hot looking pretty boy with an ounce of cash in his pocket, THATS what she wants. And could careless how he treats her, as long as she has some fuckin trophy she can show off to her other stuck up fuckin friends, and show off her little showpiece. But yet a guy that might not be the best looking guy on earth, or have the most money, might treat her like a gem, and he's always the one that gets shit on by women, who only want a fuckin trophy, not a man. Oh then of course those women bitch and moan about their b/f being rude, or being mean, or anything like that. I say if you're gonna be so fuckin stuck up, that you only give the time of day to those guys who look pretty on your arm, and treat you like shit, then shut the fuck up, and deal with it. night sorry you have run into that type of woman , ive been lucky i havent but i have some beautiful friends and one of them did that to me , but for the most part its been good .
i have two wonderful beautiful ladies that really love and care for me . so dont group all women into ur anger .

Night Moves I don't know what woman or women have made you this bitter but please don't lump us all together. Not all women are like that and for you to make a blanket statement like that isn't going to win you many friends. I for one could care less about money or looks...sure it's nice but if a man treats me decently and is clean and sincere I will give him a chance. Please lose the attitude....bitterness never helps...I know.
