Corsetting is something I don't see much mention of on the boards. There are quite a few Lit stories though.

Not really sure how tight is too tight for health reasons though.

This is a subject that does come up from time to here at lit.

I wanted to shrink my waist a few inches and was considering tight lacing until I did more research and found it to be too much effort for results that will go right back to pre-waist training after you stop.

At one time slimming corsets were the rage for some women. I've heard that the first governor's wife of California had something like a 10 inch waist. It appears every now and then and while I don't recall the actual numbers it's best to not go below something like 14 inches.

Possible obviously but it can lead to medical problems and what it does is push your internal organs around like being pregnant. Not sure if I remember this right but if you go into extremes like a 10 inch waist you won't recover fully because your organs are displaced and decide to stay there. Not a good idea and the gal they have in the article is trying for 14 inch waist.

Basic rule of thumb, if you can breathe well enough to dance you are at the tightest. All that does is compress you a little so you slim down if you need or want. Generally better to lose the last bit of a deep breath so you can scream bloody murder without passing out.

I've worn a corset off and on for the last few months. Usually only when i dress up so i get a nice figure. I am 5'10 and weigh 145 so i bought a small corset. It's tight enough that i can take a deep breath but i wouldn't want to go out for a jog either.

I am seriously considering wearing full time though, or at least as much as i can practically. One neat thing about a corset is you can forget about bending over unless you bend at the waist. Which may be a good thing since you have your butt in the air if you have to pick something up. lol.
