Crescent Ville (IC, check the open OOC)

Joseph shrugged his shoulder and casually swirled the contents of Garret's cup. "Well, I could get you expelled. Or..." Joseph threw the cup of hot coffee in Garret's face. "... I could dump coffee in your face. Now fuck off before you upset me." Joseph said to the stoned man.

Caleb walked into Mooney's and looked around. He only had Afternoon classes today so had decided to study with his mother and read the old tomes in his families vaults in the morning. Of course that left him in the mood for a good cup of coffee and that meant only one place.

As he walked in he caught the tail end of something. He spotted one of the young witches that had started studying here, what was her name again..Ah Echo. Beside her sat the biggest drug pusher in the school, Joseph and across from them was a boy who had seemed to be bothering them. Of course Joseph was not the sort of guy to take that lying down as evidenced by his next move.

He threw his cup of coffee directly into the boys face and even from across the room he heard the cry of pain. Damn he better do something to diffuse this situation or Echo might just be caught up in something she could have trouble explaining to her parents. Witches were supposed to keep a low profile not go around drawing attention to themselves. He began to stride across the room prepared to put himself in the middle of an argument yet again.

Normally she'd come to have his orders then delay in bringing them until he come up the counter where they will chat like little high school mates.
Clearly this wasn't one of those nomal days. She waved back at him, with a smile that somehow eased his mood, then nodded towards Morrigyn's table.
Jeremy being the understanding guy knew how busy she was, the moony was cramped like sardin today, even the Dean came to drink coffee.
While she was attending to the Dean and Miss Scowl face, Jeremy went behind the counter.
"Care to have another hand Freya?" he asked with a warm smile.
"Oh you are a life-saver Jem." replied the obviously stressed girl. She hurriedly placed an apron on him, something Jeremy tried refusing at first, for he didn't see the need for it.
As he turned to face the cafe, the orders came, like a flood, he sold, made coffee, took orders, made some more coffee, hit the coffee machine, sold again, made mistakes. He remembered getting a smack or two during those mistakes.

Echo wanted to scream, thus wasn't how it wasn't supposed to end up. A low profile was needed here. Everywhere. And now this was causing a scene, she watched in suprise as Joseph threw coffee in his face, and Echo wanted to smirk despite the chaos.

Garrett stood up angrily "What the hell man?! Let's see how you like it!" He grabbed Echos coffee and threw it at Joesphs face.

When he had handed Garrett the coffee he hadn't expected it to be used that way. Not that he blamed the guy, Joseph was always an arrogant fellow, using his connections with Morrigyn to excel in classes, selling drugs to innocent students who eventually get hooked for life.
Jeremy hadn't noticed the first argument between Garrett and his ex Echo. But even if he had, it would've made little or no difference.
He couldn't help but join the other student to ooh! And ah! In surprise. Many has thought the drug dealer untouchable but clearly, Garrett thought differently.
Jeremy watched to see what'll happen next, like the entire cafe who was now on their seat and chanting morales to their pals, all the while anxious to see who'll throw the first punch.
"Get him Joe. Break that piss of shit!" a girl yelld from the crowd.
"Yeah fuck him up." others added. Jeremy just shook his head, the tension was building which was good, because one way or another a witch here is gonna slip, thankfully his ring was here to notice.

Morrigyn finally noticed the scuffle and she and David shared an exasperated look. She waited for it to die down but instead it got worse. Finally, she jumped atop her table, put two well manicured fingers between her lips, and whistled a loud, harsh tone which silenced the crowd and caused every head to turn in her direction. The mother hen in the coop had had enough and in an icy tone of distain she said, "Both of you, instant Incompletes for the quarter if you continue with your shenanigans. As for the rest of you, find something useful and peaceful to do right now or I'll start taking names for security checks. It's finished!"

Audible groans followed but her hawkeyed stare continued, meeting with downward, chastised expressions, shuffling feet as some left, and a quieter atmosphere as the rest calmed down under threat of the Professor and Dean watching them and taking note of misconduct.

She could see the surprised, almost hurt expressions on both boy's faces. Each assumed they were special to her, she'd guessed. Both were in their own way, but no more special than any other man with talents she sought to help hone. It didn't mean she'd let them get away with anything, though.

Once the room had calmed significantly she came down off of the table, resuming her seat and her cup of tea, peaceful as ever.

Caleb had been about to put himself in between the two and possibly heighten the tension when luckily professor Morrigyn had taken care of the situation in her own indomitable fashion. He had been lucky really. Both boys were bigger than him and even though he could probably mop the floor with them, it was not good to create a scene. He was supposed to just be the spoiled son of a rich family, nothing more.

He still had to get Echo away from these guys but luckily he had a plan. He sauntered over to their table and sat on the edge of it and looked at the both of them and chuckled. "Why I did not know that coffee was the new fashion accessory this semester. I am just going to have to fire my fashion consultants." Smiling broadly he reached out his hand and grabbed Echo's. "I am afraid I am going to have to take this charming woman away from you though. We have rather pressing matters to discuss about our families big party later this month. Rather boring stuff I am afraid but what can one do. I am sure you both understand."

He all but dragged Echo out of the booth and had her away and into the crowd before either man could really react.

"You're going to regret that. This isn't over." Joseph growled at Garrett. Joseph was about to continue his threatening when a rich kid sauntered over to the table and swooped off with Echo. "And fuck you too, you rich asshole!" Joseph shouted after him. He stood up from the booth and pulled off his wet shirt, revealing his muscular but slender frame, much to the delight to most of the women and some of the men in the café. He walked back to his booth, grabbing a towel from the counter as he passed it, and set to work drying himself off.

Joseph removed his cloth and started towards the counter, Jeremy had left on the counter the towel he used to clean spilled coffee. He had turned back to the coffee machine and was trying to fix it by hitting it.
Joseph grabbed the towel and walked to his booth, naturally it was right that he warn the drug dealer, but Jeremy just folded his hands and watched. A little smirk on his face. All he could think that moment was, "you're getting what you deserve."
He hated what Joseph did in the school, the influence he has on his hooked buyers, the bad example he's setting for the juniors.
Freya smacked the back of his head again, Jeremy impusively glanced around for any unattended customer, when he didn't see anyone he asked, "What was that for?"
Freya scowled playfully at him as she nodded towards Joseph.
"Trust me Freya, it wasn't intentional, but i'm not sorry it happened." he told her in a tone almost a whisper. Not wanting to get into any confrontation with Joseph 'cos to everyone, he was just a geek/nerd.

Echo was grateful to Joseph and would have to give him a thanks, Echo was quite relived when the chemistry teacher put everyone in their place. She jumped as someone touched her hands, and turned to look at whom, instantly sensing he was a witch from the touch of his hands. She allowed herself to be pulled along outside of the cafe.

Garrett threw over a chair angrily, "Your dead!" He yelled at Joseph and then flipped the table upside down, scattering newspapers. He insulted the chemistry teacher and then stormed out, kicking the door open.

Caleb had taken Echo into a deserted alley a little way from the coffee shop and made sure there was no one around, then against the rules he waved his hand and cast a small spell of concealment. It would basically draw peoples eyes away from them and keep their voices from being heard as long as they kept them low. Someone could walk right passed them and they would not be seen as long as they kept still.

The other good thing was that the magic was very minor and a Hunter would have to be on top of them to sense it and he did not plan to keep it up for long enough to give them that chance.

"Well then little witch," he began in a more forceful manner than the one he had used in the shop. "Care to explain that. I know that wasn't all your fault but our main rule is keep a low profile. If that other guy is going to be a problem for you, you should report it to the school witch council and we can deal with it." He shook his head. They would probably have to deal with it anyway.

Echo sighed and scratched her head uncomfortably. "That wasn't supposed to happen. But I'm also trying to blend, not seem like some mysterious student, the council knows about it, they advised me to break up with him, seem like a typical person. But keep it low." She sighed and scratched her head, "that wasn't supposed to happen."

Caleb sighed and smiled at her. "Don't worry, as I said it was not really your fault. You did the right thing by following the Councils orders. It just seems like this guy is not taking no for an answer." Shaking his head he looked at her. She looked like the typical young witch that was coming to the school these days. A bit shy and not sure of themselves yet as they adjusted to life here.

"Okay look. We will take care of things. He, what is his name anyway?" he asked her," Anyway he will suddenly not be interested in you anymore and may avoid you in the future. Hope you are okay with that?" he smiled at her.

Looking to his left and right, Jon checked to make sure nobody was around before retrieving his lockpicking set from his back pocket. He also pulled out the key to the greenhouse and balanced it on top of the door knob. He did this to help himself focus on speed and efficiency when picking locks, since the key wouldn't stay balanced for long and the slightest shift in the knob would send it toppling down to the floor with a loud clank. Being made of iron, it had the added bonus of suppressing most kinds of magic. As he worked, he slowly grew more impressed by Professor Morrigyn's focus on security. There were far more tumblers in the lock than he would have expected for a college chemistry lab, which meant that Professor Morrigyn probably had something to hide.

It took Jon almost three minutes to pick the lock and slip inside; much longer than he would have liked. He latched the door behind him and quickly made his way over to the professor's desk, but didn't start snooping yet. He felt around for the pouch of mint sprigs that he kept in his left coat pocket and removed one of the sprigs. Placing it under his tongue, he let the cool, crisp flavor clear his mind before he started going through the desk drawers. He didn't find anything of interest at first but as he opened one of the bottom drawers, he noticed it had a false bottom in it. Wary of a possible trap, Jon refrained from opening the false bottom and instead took a photo of it with his phone. He texted the photo and an explanation of where he found it to Jeremy, the only Hunter he shared a class with. Sensing that he had spent as much time as he could snooping, Jon returned everything to the way he found it and left the lab, locking the door on his way out.

He had only gone a few feet when he thought he heard footsteps behind him. He turned around to see who was following him, but there wasn't anyone else in the hallway. Jon had the feeling that he was being watched and to determine whether or not someone was really there, he opened on of the pouches of powder and sprinkled some mushroom spores into his gloved palm. Taking care not to inhale them himself, he cast them into the air in the direction of the footsteps and waited. The spores would cause a brief period of uncontrollable sneezing if inhaled.

Lily was strolling towards the David and Morrigyn when her café erupted into jeers and catcalls. She turned around and found that Joseph had caused a scene. Coffee dripped from both boy's faces down onto the tiled floor (luckily it wasn't on a rug) then they proceeded to scream at each other like little girls.

Lily closed her eyes briefly and was about to open her mouth when a shrill whistle brought her up short. Turning her head, she sighed as she saw her best (older) friend standing precariously on one of her tables. Well, that was one way to do it, she supposed.

Lily stood with her hands on her hips, and her lips pursed, her frown of disapproval clear for all to see. Then she began to tap her foot as Garret stormed out of Moony's after flipping a table.

"Micheal!!" Lily shouted and turned to see a rather large black man coming through the door. "And where the hell have you been? What the fuck, man?" She gestured at the flipped table and Joseph deciding to strip right there and then, "While you were out for a freaking smoko, my place gets ruined!"

The large, bald man (typical security guard material) blinked and lumbered over to flip the table back over. He eyed off Joseph and shook his head - not uttering a single word. Lily rolled her eyes and took a deep breath. "Honestly. You'd think i'm running a House, not a café."

She marched over to Joseph and slapped his upper arm, "Don't let that happen in my place ever again."

Then she turned angry eyes onto Micheal, "Pull that kid's face off the cameras and put them up. He's got a lifetime ban."

Joseph again, "If you ever do that again, you will be banned too." She shook her head and headed over to the counter.

"Hey babe," she gave a long suffering sigh as she made herself a quick cup and then proceeded to hug Jeremy in greeting. "Thanks for covering me," she nodded to Freya, "Looks like I'll be staying in tonight. After all this mess, you go home babe."

Freya started to protest, but the owner of Moony's wouldn't take no for an answer. "You know," she said as she took off her apron, "You should pay that kid sometime." She nodded at Jeremy. It was a long standing joke. Jeremy always came in to give a helping hand, or just hang out in general. He never took money from Lily, but she paid him in free meals and coffee and sometimes free tickets to events.

Secretly, Lily thought he had a thing for Freya. So she kept him around and silently rooted for him whenever he came in and basically forced himself onto the coffee machine.

Giving Jeremy another smile and a quick hug in thanks, she rolled her eyes. "And now to the worst part. I have to go to Morrigyn and explain why I let all that shit happen in my place.... and how she had to go and stop it." She sighed and gave him a mock expression of horror before laughing and stepping away from the counter.

Arriving at David and Morrigyn's table she sat down with a sigh and sipped her coffee.

Joseph had been right. This blend was far too bitter. There wasn't any depth to it at all. She made a mental note to change it back to her old blend, even if the supplier was digging her into debt with his overcharging.

"Well, what other dramas do we need to deal with now?" She perked her eyebrows up at both at them and settled down for a little talk.

Morrigyn smiled serenely and leaned over to kiss her best friend on the cheeks. "I thought today would be a typical Thursday but apparently not! Can't even blame a full moon since that's not until the weekend...flippin' testosterone..." Morrigyn concluded with a sigh as she stirred her tea. "I hope those boys didn't create too much extra work for you, dearest."

Joseph cleaned himself off, too angry to care that the rag was obviously dirty. Who did that asshole think he was? Joseph was about to make a call when a very angry Lily stormed over to chew him out. He listened silently, too angry to make a reply. Very few people could yell at Joseph like that without risk to their personal health, but Lily was one of those people. After she stormed off Joseph took a moment to decompress and plan his next move.

After deciding on where he was going, Joseph stood up from his booth, leaving his soggy shirt on the table. He walked over to Lily and handed her a roll of fifties. "Five hundred, sorry about the mess." He said to Lily before winking to Morrigyn and leaving the café.

Joseph pulled his phone from his pocket as soon as he was out the door. His fingers flew on the screen as he typed out a message to his hacker. "Andy. It's me. There's a guy I need you to find for me. Tall dude, stoner, his name is Garrett. He used to hang out with the quiet blonde chick, Emma or whatever. Figure out where that asshole will be tonight, we have unfinished business." Joesph typed before sending the message. He continued walking, and smiled when he saw the reply, "already on it.". "Now to get into something dry." Joseph thought as he continued walking towards his apartment building that was just off the edge of campus.

As the fight escalated, David and Morrigyn shared an exasperated look then David jumped up and pressed himself through the crowd, attempting to intercede before things got out of hand. Fortunately, Morrigyn made a more direct contribution and the scuffle broke up quickly.

"Hmm, more effective than my way perhaps..." he admitted as he returned to the table. "Although I'll have to deal with them both tomorrow in my office regardless."

David stood in greeting when Lily finally made her way over and sat down next to Morrigyn.

"I regret that some of my students do not know how to behave in public, Ms. Cooper." he began. "If there are any damages, please send me a mist and I will be sure that you are compensated."

"Although I do enjoy your company and the coffee, I regret that it is more business that brings me here today." I was conducting a review of some of the school's business dealings and noticed a slight discrepancy in your lease agreement with the school. "

Noticing Lily's confused looked, David reached into his coat and withdrew a copy of the contract, opening it and pointing out a highlighted passage.

"It states that for safety and insurance reasons, an 'anti-theft' system is required to be installed. That is, security cameras need to be in place. One over the register, one wherever you store cash and another over the common area."

He motioned towards one of the tiny cameras by the counter. "I can see that you have at least one, but I need to verify that there are all three in place. furthermore, as the school is ultimately responsible for the safety of the public on school grounds. The common room to be monitored by the school's security system."

He shrugged. "I apologize for the inconvenience, but as Dean, I must comply with the laws and directives made by the school board. Unless you object, I will have the common room camera connected to the rest of the school's camera system ASAP."

Lily gave an appreciative glance towards her best friend. Though the woman was by far too serious for that pretty face of hers, Lily had seen her let loose a few times. She was a bit 'new agey' but it fit her nicely and Lily was more than happy to have a friend that wasn't into the same stuff she was. It was refreshing, actually.

Lifting an eyebrow at David, she smiled sweetly. Perhaps too sweetly, "My dear Mr Carlyle. There are a multitude of cameras. That one -" she pointed at the tiny one near the counter, "- is fake. When you have the time, I'd be happy for our tech guys to get together,"

Leaning forward, she lowered her voice suggestively, "Or we could just talk tech in the back room, where I keep all my secrets," she winked and leaned back, crossing her arms underneath her breasts and giving him a sexy pout.

Of all the boys (and girls) that chased her, David was oblivious to any of her charm. That suited Lily just fine. Sometimes you just needed to flirt harmlessly with someone that knew just how harmless it was.

And besides, one day, she was gonna see him squirm. She just had to find the right spot.

Morrigyn sensed Lily was being a tease but doubted David would even pick up on her innuendo which made her crack a small smile. She was curious what he'd do...or would he ignore yet another advance from yet another beautiful woman he could have if he cared to?

" Ah, er, yes..." David started at Lily's pouting lips and ample bosom were highlighted for David's observance.

Dean Carlyle had a bit of a reputation around campus as being the 'bookish nerd' that wouldn't know what to do with a woman if he caught one. It was something that many of the students took great pleasure mocking about him...behind his back of course.

He was also quite aware that Morrigyn and by extension, her friend Lily, also took amusement from by teasing him with their bold suggestions and flirtation.

"Well, Ms. Cooper, I fear that I am not particularly tech-savvy, " he said, regaining a bit of composure and leaning forward a bit. "But I am a great student of mysteries. Secrets, well, those I can appreciate and unravel in detail..."

The dean left the suggestion hanging in the air for a moment.

"Just, not tonight I fear." he finished, leaning back with a heavy sigh.

The hug was more than a payment for the slaps and incessant annoying orders. Her touch was subtle and aphrodisiac in nature, her bountiful chest, a gentle carress on his chest as she hugged him. The act of greeting lasting only seconds but the resultant feeling and tingling lasting minutes and will eventually give birth to night fantasies.
Jeremy watched her stride away from him, a coffee in hand as shw walked gracefully away from him to Morrigyn's table. Even with all his hunter trainings, willpower and strength, he couldn't tear his eyes from the sway of her rear. How in love was he? Jeremy couldn't help but wonder if he had been spelled to be so struck by her.
He loved everything about her, her smile, the soothing sound of her laughter, the enticing fragrance of her hair, her graceful and purposeful steps, her sure and courageous outer demeanour. He loved everything. He couldn't find any flaws, he so wished for one, one that'll help him forget her. Still, none. He was love struck.

Freya elbowed his arm, making him realise he'd been staring.
"When you gonna tell her?" the petite woman asked placing stuffs into her bag.
"I-i-i think its best, you know if she's not aware. I don't want her hurt." Jeremy answered still gazing at her. She was laughing now, probably to something funny that the Dean had said.
"If you're scared it might destroy the friendship you two now share, then you're a bigger fool than i thought." Freya told him as she put the last piece of whatever girly stuff into bag, she then turned to him, "Lily thinks you're mine, something that is both ridiculous and impossible at the same time. You're her friend because she thinks that you're dating me. The more you continue in this silence and voyeurism, the more she thinks you mine, and the more she goes inches farther away from your arms. Sit up cutie." she tapped his cheek then walked away.
Jeremy sighed heavily, as he turned to the coffee machine his phone beeped, he glanced at the message, then to Morrigyn.

Taking the apron off Jeremy quickly typed a reply,
abort search, place area on surveillance. meeting tonight. Inform the others.
Jeremy went through the sent message again, then through the message received, he'd an idea, one that'll get them the facts they needed.
He picked up his bag and hurried towards the exit of moony, he had to see Joseph. He needed something, an information that he might be in possession of.

Morrigyn shrugged at this interchange between her two companions. "Is it possible, Lily, to get a slice of that peach cobbler I know you have in the back? I'm starving today for some reason."

Her look to David silently conveyed the message that if he had anything witch-sensitive or private to say he'd better give her a hint while Lily is out of earshot otherwise they'd have to wait indefinitely to continue.
