But fate has put us in the same path once again under a better light.

I guess, being polyamorous, my take is a bit different. Three years ago I got together with one of my best friends, who I had known for sixteen years at that point. I was at her wedding and am friends with her husband. She’s friends with my spouse, and the whole situation works out wonderfully.

Love, or companionship, shows up when it shows up, and age doesn’t matter. I’m also speaking as a dude in his forties. And it’s good he knows about your online presence. Keep everything out in the open, especially communication.
